You remember how long ago I called this about Raiola?

And everyone defended him with crap about how Rhule knows OL and he likes how he does things, or Dana loves him.

What the hell did people think they were gonna say with either the potential of adding #15 or trying to keep #15?!
yes.

appears our desert island is getting more and more populated.

I like EJ. If we have an average oline, I think he looks pretty good.
I agree. He will put his foot in the ground and make that quick cut. Seems to read whatever seam is there. Say he had the line that Ahman had, he would be a 100+ a game.

Coaching prowess?

He’s a .500 coach who won one G5 conference title a generation ago
And currently has Nebraska sitting at #80 (yes eighty) in the composiite team rankings for 2026. Small class or whatever excuses people want to make. He is not a great recruiter (minus a couple of big time gets) like some people think. Can't close most of them, but man oh man can he small-talk sell them in to visiting! Sound familiar? Riley 2.0.

It also really just the tackle play. Our interior guys haven't looked too bad. Maybe Rhule can start spending a little more time with the tackles.

Teams not soft. Out. Of. Position. Defense was not gap sound. Offensive line is also plenty physical, but if your footwork is poor, you're getting beat. I have hope for this season, but looking forward, $$$$$ needs to be spent on the lines.
Out of position, yes.. but a lot of that was scheme too.. literally saw a guard let a guy go right by him on the outside, and he wasn't trying to block that guy.. the rb whiffed and he sacked the QB. The lineman believed he was supposed to block someone else on the inside, that wasn't there.. this is what is being taught.. it's so much scheme that it's like a joke. Offensively we are soft, but that is a reflection of Dana & Rhule trying to build a finesse team in the Big Ten.. those guys are the clowns.

Wow, this board is full of a bunch of sad-sack, loser, basement dwellers…most of whom have never played a down of college ball (or balled on any level) in their lives…many of whom have likely never had consensual sex.

A plethora of miserable f*cks who wake up from their Busch Light comas, with their micro-dick between their fingers, see their fat, ugly wife/girlfriends, and decide to vent on college football a message-board. Absolutely sucks to be you. :ROFLMAO:

We can win 9 games this season, clear progress after 10 miserable years and proof this coaching staff has us on the right track… and Kong would still complain because we have weaknesses on the team remaining. We must be Ohio state RIGHT NOW and there’s no time allowed to progress because Cignetti is an outlier

That's because when Nebraska wins he loses. He's a fraud.
I didn't see anybody predict we would lose to Michigan State, even the pessimists like me thought we would go 2-2 in our next four, losing to Maryland and Minnesota. The question is whether only beating the bottom of the big 10 is good enough. But I have the mindset that NCAA is become more and more like the NFL. A lot of unpredictable games, poor football everywhere, chaos, bad depth, bad special teams because every team has a sort of salary cap where spending poorly will cost you in depth and talent. We are still healthy and have a very soft schedule so we could have a good record and that is all that matters.

Nobody predicted we’d lose to them because we are improving year over year.

After the last 10 seasons Nebraska has had, yes. It’s called incremental progress. We get 8-9 wins this year and we are on the right track. To your point, we should not be complacent with that, we need to keep improving and fixing weaknesses.
