On Dec. 6, the MSU softball team surprised Brooke Dycus' fourth-grade
class at East Oktibbeha County Elementary School with the gift of
Christmas, handing out several Christmas gifts to the children and
celebrating the Holidays with them. In today's world of college athletics, it's nice to see some good going on.

Hiring Vann Stuedeman away from Alabama was an incredible move by Stricklin..yet another young, firey coach who gets it. When asked how long she thought it would take her to beat her former coach at powerhouse Alabama she replied "7 innings." Gotta love it..even the freaking softball coach.

I gotta say, when Stricklin hired her I thought, "Damn. That's a good hire." I'm actually kind of excited to see what she does at MSU.

I work at that school. Those 4th graders will never forget that visit, some are now State fans for life. Really great to see.
