Some good old Group A MNF high school action coming up!

Watching the Steelers crush KC so thoughts moved to tomorrow's 1A and local 2A MNF high school action! Any thoughts or comments on some of these big games?

#4 in 3A James Monroe at Essex -

Will Essex be able to battle with JM? They had two weeks to prepare. One of the best high school games ever that I observed (probably the most exciting) was a few years ago, a 40-37 OT crazy controversial loss by Essex at packed JM!

Two time defending Private school champ Trinity Episcopal at Northumberland (4-0)-

Huge test for the undefeated Indians! With a win, NHS would move into another tier of football....Top 10 for sure. Trinity has about 4 D1 prospects... Go Indians!

Rapp County at K&Q - This should be a great one! A battle of small schools!

3A Spotsylvania at small 2A W&L (a contest of struggling teams)

2A King William at 4A Caroline (KW should break .500)

Auburn at Parry McCluer (this should be an exciting game, PM should take it I would think)

Fort Chiswell at 2A James River (I think they are 2A...)

Some good MNF action! Did I miss any?

We went to a college game yesterday, so its been a nice good long football weekend!

I think Quantico and Richmond Christian play tomorrow night as well. Quantico has "shocked the world" by starting out 5-0 this year, but it has been against very weak competition. A win over Richmond Christian would be HUGE for the Warriors.

Jeremy Nelson and the Blues welcoming his former team to Buena Vista. This one could have the makings of a Rivalry / Dog Fight! There was some tension before but Nelson adds a new element. Auburn should be fired up AND the same could be said for Mr. Nelson. BUT the Eagles better not forget about KJ Cook and Marcellus Dawson. I think Auburn may be in it early but this three-headed Monster may be ready to POUND them.
