apparently the DOD has already come out and said that their mid-April paychecks will not be full paychecks.

They only paid active duty military through the 8th (today). If a budget passes by Monday we will get paid the rest on the 18th and if nothing passed by the 18th then the 24th. If nothing passed by the 24th it will be April.

My normal mid month check is gonna be short about a grand. I find nothing funny about that at all. And since military won't be furloughed, I am working for free until they pass a budget and back pay us.

my dad worked for the Corps of Engineers for 40 years. Now he is retired. I called him today and asked if he would be affected and luckily, he is not.
