from BDB definitely says end of the season, not the year. Anyway, if that is true it probably means we have no idea how much he actually lost during the season. The only semi-firm number we ever got was 312. If he's lost only 23 pounds off that, he's at 289. Total guess based on Marcello's video: 278.

That is, if correct, jaw dropping. I assume you have no significant other, much less wife or kids?
I am lucky to get 2 or 3 nights to play tennis....

A day in the life of KurtRambis4, get up, go to work, post on SPS, workout, go home post on SPS, workout, post on SPS, sleep, rinse, repeat...

Even when I didn't have a wife and kids I did other "fun" things besides going to the gym...

I believe Coach Stans was the one who did P90X last year. It worked for him. It's a shame that he didn't get Big Sid on the program with him. It's also a shame that our coach is in better shape than our best player.

months when you are probably pushing 300 isn't sqat. Also, when he says he hadn't worked that hard since 7th grade, that shows a major flaw in the teams workout habits, doesn't say much for the staff pushing the team.

being disciplined sucks. You're an idiot. Always have been and always will be. How's that research coming on the terrible offensive display the last few minutes of the Kentucky game again?

playing totally out of shape. Being down 23 pounds right now is a huge benefit. Even if he only loses 10 more, he will be a force this season.
because holy hell, this board will eat him alive if he doesn't become the Jesus of MSU basketball...

Just like you are obsessed with bashing my posts..
If you really do work out over 3 hrs a day, that is borderline obsession unless you are training for something specific.

So we don't have to worry about any junior KurtRambis4's running around??

and have a kid under one year old. I'm not obsessed and am not training for anything specific. I run in road races from time to time but don't necessarily have one in mind every morning when I go out for a run. I know a lot of people who work out much more than me and none of them are obsessed either. For some people it is just part of their routine and lifestyle. I've got a buddy who deer hunts nearly 5 days a week during the season. He is not obsessed. It's just part of who he is. Oh and he has an 18 month old who ended up in the turkey blind with him a lot this season.

A lot of Americans watch more than 3 hours of TV a day. Are they obsessed with TV?

You could argue for either example above as an obsession. I am just giving KR4 a hard time.
I have a brother-in-law who is obsessed with deer hunting, goers on several trips each year to Canada and out West to hunt and is at one of his deer camps every weekend year round to work on stands and food plots.
It is not healthy to be obsessed with anything, we all need a balanced life, physically, spiritually, and intellectually.

says the person that responded to my post with the sole intent of bashing me when it had nothing to do with them...

Actually I am training for an Ironman race. That might be the first time you were ever right of any of your posts. I see you didn't respond to the part about the Kentucky game. Also, I'm not obsessed with bashing your posts, it has more to do with me pointing out stupid things people say in stupid posts. You have a higher rate of stupid posts than most (ask anyone on here), therefore you get more responses from me. DerHntr added some nice points. Basically anytime someone does something for more than three hours a day, they're obsessed? Swing and a miss, aGAIN. Your and dubmass, *****. Go kill yourself 17ing yokel.

Kentucky game. Remember the one where you said our lack of offense killed us down the stretch (where we shot 60% from the field in that time frame). There's no reason for you to get all worked up, though. You were just wrong (as usual).

Losing 23 pounds over two months is ******** when you have millions riding on it.

Any hate Sidney gets on this website or any other, he has earned himself. For a guy that heavy and working out as much as he claims, he would have to consume a ton of calories to only lose 11.5 lbs per month. Sorry if you disagree.

And who gives a **** if people on here are fatasses or not? We are not getting a free ride from the university nor does our future depend on us being in shape and being able to play ball.

Got y'alls panties all up in a wad over his weight? I've read all the articles, watched the video interview just like the rest of you here. From all acounts, he is working harder than he ever has to try and get in shape. He knows that he has to, not for MSU, not for Stansbury, and damn sure not for us. He has to get in shape to get where he wants to be and make the money that he is very capable of making one day. He is the one who contacted John Lucas about getting help with basketball and life in general. Lucas said "we had our fights, we had our battles, but he did very well." And that "he has a chance, but "he'll have to go from here." Meaning that Renardo Sidney will have to want to do it. No strength coach, head coach, mom, dad, drill sargent can make a kid do anything if he doesn't want to. From all accounts, the switch finally was turned on. He knows y'all hate him, that all eyes are on him, and I think for what a 20 yr old with all the scrutiny, all the trashing of his name by stupid 17'ers like some of you here, that he has done a pretty good job. He said pretty much all the right things on the video,, and looks a helluva lot less round in the face than he did at the end of last season.

I for one will hold judgement on him until the season starts, then if he shows up with a Big Mac in hand and his belly hangin over his shorts, the above paraghraph is thrown out. But from what I see so far, the Renardo Sidney from last season is in the rear view mirror and what we will see this year will be hopefully something special. For his sake, I hope he continues what Lucas got going.

His weight is not the most important thing. His stamina is what has got to get better so he can stay on the court longer. Some guys are just naturally big players. Glen Davis and Dwayne Curtis were never exactly ripped but they had good college careers. Obviously he can't be just a huge fatass but everyone freaking out over whether or not the guy has lost 20 lbs or 30 lbs three months before the season starts are getting worked up for nothing right now.

it's because this guy has had chance after chance after chance and has yet to prove he can get his attitude straight. I hope he does, because he could be a badass. However, I'll have to see it to believe it at this point. It's do or die.

considering the enormous benefits ofexercising. It'spositivelycorrelated with life expectancy, happiness, self-confidence, even sexual satisfaction. There are few activities that can provide such returns. And if its done the right way, it's also very fun. I never leave the Sanderson Center feeling like I wasted my time. Never. Can't say the same about leaving the Hump....
