Somebody give me hotel options for midtown Houston...

...cause I've searched it every way possible and the only thing I can find in the entire area is a B&B called LA Maison.

A friend of mine tried to find a room downtown and could not either. Seems there are three major events happening next weekend and everything is booked. They are staying out on the perimeter somewhere.

I would stay at the Houstonian.

I used hotwire.com and got a 4 star hotel in downtown Houston for $67 per night. The hotel ended up being the Hilton Americas, which has very good reviews. After taxes and all of the other bs tack ons, the room ended up being $170 total for 2 nights. For the rates to still be this cheap on hotwire, I would assume that there are plenty of hotel rooms available, especially downtown. I was told by several friends that live in the Houston area that downtown Houston is where we should stay, and that the stadium and Midtown area are easily accessible by the light rail system. The only question I have now is where we should eat? We would like to do Mexican and/or Steakhouse, with it being Houston.
