I had the chance to meet him at the 2010 British Open at St. Andrews, and he was a very down-to-earth guy. I told him what a big fan I was, and he gladly obliged me with a pic and signed a couple of things for me. Best part about it? He did it all with a smile, even though you know he gets these requests all the time. Class act.
Heard he likes to brag on his game (hence the figjam reference - 17 I'm good, just ask me), but hell he's working on his 4th green jacket so he's allowed to brag on his game. But he carries himself on the course like a professional and I met him briefly out in Scottsdale and the guy couldn't have been nicer.
I enjoyed him at the PGA last year in Atlanta. He was constantly joking around with the fans and always had a smile on his face. Met Adam Scott that Sunday at the porter johns lol. He was pretty cool as well.
I have a friend who is a tour player. Says Mickelson is nice but an expert on everything. U don't even have to ask him.
