Cohen has said he's the most talented player on the team. Been hurt all year. Had some type of surgery.

I realize I've only posted about 2 times but I can assure you that I'm not Britton or related to him in any way. I've been to all but about 3 home games this season so I feel qualified to comment on our team, especially Britton. I realize he's hitting .119 and seems like a liability in the lineup. However, I have never in all my life seen a .119 hitter put as many good swings or make solid contact with as many balls as Britton has. He's a freshman. He's obviously pressing anytime he's in the game so it's hard to be productive. The guy is going to shock a lot of you guys next season and in the future.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

how many .119 hitters have you seen in your lifetime? Actually .114 with a .080 SEC batting average right now.

I decided he didn't want to do it in the fall, and he wasn't changing what the coaches were telling him to change anyway. It's a waste because he threw 98 last year at one point.

</div><div>Someone explain it to me, how we lose Stratton and Reed and that improves our pitching staff which has been stellar this year and keep the same god awful lineup and we morph into a team bound for Omaha. </div>
Why does everyone think Stratton is 100% gone? I could definitely see him staying. I know the family well, and his dad has been in school administration his whole career. Education is very important in that family, and Chris is a very level-headed person. He's not going to leave because he gets drafted. <div>
</div><div>Now he very well could leave, and I wouldn't blame him. If he goes in the 1st round then I would expect him to leave, but that is not a foregone conclusion. He is not for sure gone however.</div>

Stephen Head is back at Mississippi finishing up his degree on the Cleveland Indians dime right now. If a player is serious about wanting a pro career, he needs to go pro after his JR season if he has the chance.

With more money in the bank than people will accumulate in 10 yrs post graduation at almost any job... Never mind that he's making an unreal amount of cash money on the side tutoring young hitters(a starting engineering salary for 10 hours a week)...

Baseball is not comparable to basketball or football on this. You either go early as a junior or you prettymuch settle for nothing as a senior....

But he had to drop all his students 15 and older when he started working as a student assistant coach for the Bears (not sure if he's getting paid for that job or not). Still, having free use of their facilities means that all the money he makes tutoring is profit.

That is still hundreds of thousands of dollars. He won't turn it down because as stated if he comes back next year he will get 10,000 dollars and a plane ticket. <div id="myEventWatcherDiv" style="display:none;"></div>

that had Stratton going in the first round to the Cardinals. I think it was the 23rd pick.

If that happens, he should go pro.
