It'll be interesting to see how they handle Tunsil if he gets knicked up. The talk was during bowl practice that he was more concerned with his NFL future (not risking more injury) than helping OM win the bowl game. If something similar happens again, especially early, that's a tough spot for Freeze.

Lets say he can't finish the Bama game. The next four weeks are

@ College Station
Tenn
@ LSU
Auburn

How hard to you push your potential All American left tackle if he's got someone in his ear saying he needs to sit?

Ole Miss spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on private eyes in the early aughts, trying to destroy the Mississippi State University football program, only to have it blow up in their face when they fired their best coach since Johnny Vaught. In the decade since in the desert, they've spent hundreds of thousands more in luring hyped players to play for them....only to have it blow up in their face. This season has "MSU 2003" written all over it for them.

If they had used all those millions they poured down a rathole, and instead tried to rebuild their shattered academic reputation, the university of ole miss might be taken seriously. Trying to keep up with the major power programs in the Conference like Alabama, LSU, Florida, Mississippi State, Auburn, Georgia, etc. is a fools' errand.

That might be the best post I've ever read on the internet.

I knew it had to be something with him. I just thought he was soft. He very rarely finished a whole drive last season. Makes sense now. Keep sitting big man.

As much as I would love for that to be true it has not been since the 40's.

Makes a lot of sense after the Egg Bowl last year, where he seemed to have taken himself out down the stretch. If he was already worrying about sparing himself for the NFL as a freshman, there's no way they're going to be able to count on him for the rest of his time there. They're either just going to have to stand by and watch as he takes himself out for every little thing, or outright bench him in favor of another guy who will stay in the game.

No offense, but where did you hear this? I'm obviously an Ole Miss fan that follows football and (unfortunately) recruiting, and I had never heard that. I guess if you say it's true, then it must be true. But, I can honestly say that was never said. Me thinks this could be a little rumor? Especially considering the kid still has two whole years to play before he is even eligible for the NFL...

EDITED TO ADD: I forgot to mention that he draft stock would plummet if he sat out half of his college career because of injury. It would be counter productive to sit out. Of course, there is a small possibility that he was actually hurt...

Because if anyone is soft, it's a freshman who started 12 games as left tackle in the SEC and never gave up a sack

How has his little brother been looking or does he arrive this summer?

packageku, Tunsil is a great talent and frankly if he is concerned about injury impacting his NFL career it is understandable because he has a chance to make a great deal of money.

I think it's just a common speculation because he seemed to come out of games for seemingly minor tweaks.

Is it hard to not give up sacks when you throw 30 screen passes a game?

You should ask your Deep-throat source about it. I'm sure the info he gives you will be totally correct.
