Offense A&M will have faced all year. Their two losses were to two one dimensional offenses. LSU and Florida have great defenses but horrid one dimensional offenses. A&M only had to focus on the run and did not lose those two games by much. They beat a horrid AU team that packed in in 3 weeks ago. They blew out the shitstorm that is Ark in College Station. Might I add, a game that Ark was leading early, but then started turning the ball over at will.

We will spread them out and go right down the field at will tomorrow. Just like we did against TN. A&M does not have much depth on defense. We will churn the clock and wear them down. Their O will be watching a lot. Unless we have -3 turnover ratio tomorrow, we will win. If we win the turnover battle, this game will not be close.

Secondly, their offense has not been great against a decent defense....

A&M is averaging 20 points offensively a game against decent defenses(LSU, FL, and UM). Ole Miss held them to 23 points. We held a better offense in Tennessee to 24. Tennessee has proven they can move the ball against decent defenses( 44 against UGA, 35 vs SC), A&M has not. I think if the team comes out with any emotion in them and doesn't play flat, we should beat them by at least 10.

Some people will point to the Troy game saying we will struggle to stop A&M due to their similar styles of offense, but that game was an emotional let down game with us playing a base defense with backups. Additionally, if the recievers would've caught half the passes they dropped, the D wouldn't have been out on the field for so much of the 2nd half.

Uhhhhh LaTech and Ole Miss have better offensive numbers than us across the board, but... hopefully our defense is better than theirs.

Actually, our points per game are (very) slightly better than Ole Miss's, but I think your point remains.

You guys need to think a little deeper than this

You guys need to think a little bit and not take everything on face value. First of all, La Tech hasn't played SEC competition. Secondly and most importantly, of course OM and La Tech have better offensive numbers than us, because of blowouts, we have taken our #1 offense out in the 3rd quarter against MTSU, J-State, and South Al. OM and La Tech have not had the luxury to do this because they don't blow people out, and their defenses aren't trustworthy enough to risk pulling the #1 offense. Which game has OM taken out their #1 offense? If we had kept the pedal to the medal offensively in those 3 blow outs, where would our offensive numbers rank.

Those offensive stats are virtually useless.

Well, in SEC games, Ole Miss has scored more points and Arkansas has gained more yards than we have, so either way you slice it, we're not the best offense they've faced, on paper. That might not be "deep" enough for ya, but hell I watched the games, too. Ole Miss's offense looked better than we did against Bama and Auburn. Don't get me wrong, our offense is competent enough to score on A&M, but it's virturally irrelevant. Maybe we can win a shootout with the game being at home, but I really don't see that scenario being to our advantage.

It's all about our defense tomorrow.

Our offense will do just fine against your defense tomorrow... You haven't seen an offense any where close to ours this year. With all of the numbers we have put up you still aren't accounting for the fact that we pulled our Starters for the entire 3rd and 4th quarters (except one series against Auby) in 3 games and pulled them for the entire 4th Quarter in the SMU game. JFF isn't our only weapon either guys... put 3 on the line and drop 8 and we can run up the middle on you with C-Mike or Malena... Pull the safeties up and we spread you out with 5 WR's... put 8 in the box and Johnny will torch you on long passes... I still think we put up at least 35 more likely 42 on your defense, and only 3 teams have broken 20 pts on our Defense this year, Arky had 14 of their 21 against our 3rd stringers in garbage time... gonna be a tough tomorrow

I meant scheme-wise Tusk... Not trying to take anything away from Bama's Offense... Very good Offense, different style and pace... (I do think our Offense is better than Bama's, but the gap is not that big)

Cadaver I can't wait to see your posts tomorrow... big helping of steaming hot CROW coming your way... You won't own it though, even if we take you out back and curb stomp your team you won't own it...you will find some excuse or just ignore it... The difference is IF we lose tomorrow I will be back and I will own it... I can see already you can't handle it... I will be back tomorrow either way

To most of the other MSU fans, you have been pretty good to me. I know nobody likes to hear someone from the other team talking about how they will win, but Cadaver you have taken this way too personal man... you act like I took your sister out, banged her and left her in the park to walk home... it's a game bro... and this is a forum for people to talk about their teams... I have been on each of the other SEC teams boards that we have faced this year and I have yet to see a jacka$$ of your caliber...

LMAO... I think we still lose to Bama, I think your defense will be able to stop our offense better than our defense will be able to stop your offense... That being said I think we give you a better game than MSU did

Haha, I've taken stuff personal? ^^

By the way you dumb mother17er, I never said we would win. Check the prediction thread. All I did was point out facts, and I'm right, so I will be fine tomorrow my friend.

Learn to read dipshit. I called you out the other day because you came to OUR message board with backhanded compliments, and talking about how you think A&M is so much better than us and trying to tell us all why. Sorry if I'm not holding up a high five to your dumb ***. If you're expecting more from me then you might as well get the 17 out of here, because I can see right through you. You're a prime example of the pussification of America....I want my team to kick your *** tomorrow, so I don't accept your back handed compliments. Nothing personal, just my "opinion" of the situation. So quit crying and we'll see if your theory holds true tomorrow. If so, I tip my cap tomorrow afternoon.

You are right. Pertinent question is how often said offense sees the field.

I think this game is more about our offense than yours. If ours works as intended, we will keep you off the field and your bread and butter is gone. If we can't move the ball, you will wear us out with snap count.

pussification of America??? Are you kidding me??? It's called being a good sport... Not back handed compliments... yeah I did say I think our team is better and when asked why I told you... if you didn't want to hear why I thought so then don't 17ing ask (that might be the stupidest thing I have ever seen by the way)
sorry if I didn't see the disclaimer that said if you are not an MSU fan on YOUR board you aren't allowed to have an opinion...

LOOK *******... TUSK is the Passive Aggressive King on this here message board... if anyone here is gonna hug these bulldogs while stickin' it to em,,, it's gonna be me!

that being said, I'm really concerned that Coach Saban is possibly overlooking this weekends game with LSU in anticipation with the A&M team Franchione is bringing to TTown next week... (congrats on stealing him away, BTW... we bammers were owed that over the whole Paul Bryant thing)...

anyway, good luck with your spread, option dress wearin' offense you run, buddy.

gonna try to do all that runnin' around in circles **** when you cats come to TitleTown next week?

If so, you might wanna forward him this link: http://www.hanger.com/Pages/default.aspx

That's part of his game.. Makes him pretty exciting... what scares me though is the teams that have done the best against him have great lateral speed from sideline to sideline... BAMA has that for sure... I think it could be bad for his health, but he is a pretty tough kid and what's the alternative??? try and run on you or stay in the pocket?? All of them will be tough sledding...

I'm just gonna leave this here (from ESPN Insider)

I like QB Johnny "Johnny Football" Manziel and the Texas A&M offense, but Mississippi State's defense is much more similar to the Florida and LSU defensive units that held the Aggies to a combined 36 points than it is to A&M's six victims. Part of the difficulty in defending a skilled freelance QB like Johnny Football is that defensive backs must essentially execute coverage twice -- once against the route and again in defense of the scramble once the play breaks down. MSU has a secondary that can keep A&M's excellent receivers bottled up downfield, giving the front seven time to chase Manziel around until he is forced to tuck it, throw it away or turn it over.

Mississippi State boasts the best offense A&M has seen this year save Louisiana Tech's. A&M coach Kevin Sumlin and offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury could be offensive geniuses, Johnny Football could be a future Heisman Trophy winner, and the entire platoon could be loaded with SEC-caliber talent at every position and it still wouldn't make the Aggies effective against quality defenses such as a Mississippi State attack that has been teaching its schemes, recruiting to its system and building its depth in the sport's toughest conference for an entire recruiting cycle.

Texas A&M is off to a great start in the SEC, but this new kid on the block isn't going to be permitted to just jump into the league's upper echelon right away. Coach Dan Mullen has had four years to build the Bulldogs' roster and culture, and the result of that labor is a finished product that is simply a better team than a promising A&M squad with an all-new staff and a true freshman quarterback.

The pick: Mississippi State 34, Texas A&M 27
