Per McCready.

They are pulling out all the stops in recruiting while we may be losing Brewster and have Bracky Brett in compliance.

I can see how this ends up.

Id love to see where McCready said this.

He didnt tweet it, it's not on his board, or his podcast. I can't imagine someone on this board making stuff up about anyone associated with OM. Just surprised y'all have switched from Yancy to Neil

This isn't an OM board? So you make something up about OM, get corrected by an OM fan, and then call OM fan **********. No wonder you don't want OM posters on here. Ignorance is bliss I guess

How many ever change from offensive to defensive coaches?

Below is Trooper's career coaching positions

1998
1999-2003
2004-2007
2008
2009-2012
New Mexico (RB)
Tulane (WR)
Tennessee (RB/WR/AHC)
Oklahoma State (co-OC/WR)
Auburn (AHC/WR)

I know you can't honestly think that Trooper Taylor is competent to coach a defensive backfield.

ETA: He did play DB in college and spent 2 years as a DB coach in 1995-1996. I do think it's strange that he's never coached on defense in the last 16 years.

Please tell me what a corners coach does besides supervising drills and recruiting.

Can anyone on this board tell me a time when Trooper has actually coached? He just dances around and waves a damn towel. He's a fluffer between you and the HC you don't like who gets you in school by pretending to be your best friend and keeps you pumped up during games. He makes sense for some teams. Worked out for Auburn for a while. Never thought they had good receivers, but you can't tell me he wasn't valuable in getting kids on campus and hyping people up.

I wouldn't want him at MSU, but for a scum bag like Freeze it makes a whole lot of sense to stick him in any open position available.

I have to admit that I was pretty stunned at the lack of impact his hire had....

I really thought he would give us a run for Conner and I certainly didn't see him losing Mix.

I just think that when MSU hired Townsend the last thing anyone thought was that MSU would actually end up not signing Mix and not really be in the game for Conner. Personally I thought he would really have a much bigger impact then he did, especially at South Panola.

in fairness to townsend, he had no time. yes he's known in SP but recruiting is about relationships over some time. the simple fact is you had no chance with connor. none. it was bama or ole miss period. townsend did at least get you a visit so credit there. IF mullen actually hired deshea thinking he'd pull connor, that was a serious miscalculation. over time he may help ya'll a lot in bateville but not in one month. i have no solid knowledge of the mix deal.
