Holy

cow, Ronny. You've been singing this **** since the first negative post on crooms. Get over yourself. The majority of people bash/ed crooms because he made terrible decisions, not because of the color of his skin. Our coach good be a def, blind, mute and nobody would care as long as he won. 17ing Ronnyatmosphere ladies and gents.

Thanks guys for expressing your points of view. You have really forced me to see the issue more holistically. I really hope that Coach Croom displays, in this documentary, the high character that I associate with him. If he runs down our beloved university, I will be sadly disappointed. I wouldn't be surprised if the person conducting the interview tries to interject race as a factor in Croom's firing. But I would be surprised if Coach Croom concurs or even if he implies that it could have been a factor. I do expect him to say that he needed more time, but understands that his idea of building a program isn't usually granted. Any way, in the next five years we will be SEC Champs (I hold to the outside chance that it could happen this year!) and all the bad days will be a far memory. "And that's all I have to say about that." Today, Tomorrow, Forever--A Bulldog.

Listen closely to what he says. He's telling the players that they "won't win" while they're there but they're building a foundation. Yeah right....that's really what they want to hear. The more this guy talks, the more stupid he sounds. What he's doing is making excuses for himself...again. God, I can't believe we put up with this clown for five freaking years. I'll watch it and laugh.

It is amazing how fast people forget but, I believe this was a plot to get recruits that didn't work and he was hired to just fill a space until we got off probation. Do any of you remember this

What the hell is an "obscure NFL team?"

It's not like he got out of this unscathed. I'm sure he doesn't like being a failure, and I know he'd rather be coaching at MSU, near his hometown and family, than some obscure NFL team somewhere. I mean, you act like he waltzed out of here with our nuts in his hand. WE FIRED HIM! Not the other way around. If he could go back, I'm pretty sure he'd have turned loose of the reins and hired a good OC a year or two earlier.

Based on the youtube videos

I don't think they are going to say or do anything to make us look bad as far as a University. If they say anything bad about Jackie- and to me saying the program was in bad shape wasn't calling out Jackie at all, and we were a 2-10 program that was on probation- that's pretty classless on ESPN's part. Especially since that was LT's fault for not firing Jackie when he should have.

Odds are this will make us look good.

And he had a plum of a schedule his first year

We had Tulane, Maine- in case no one remembers, Vanderbilt, UAB, Kentucky, and a four win Mississippi team on the road.

An average coach would have won no less than five of those games, and probably all six. Croom won TWO. If he had done what he was supposed to do and assuming we upset an average 7-4 Florida team like we did, we would have won seven games in year one.

You can play this same game with all of Croom's first three years, and the only year where a competent coach might not go bowling was 2005.

Isn't it funny how the very people crying "racism" are the only ones who see the color of one's skin as the problem?
How's that quote go about protesting too much?

This isn't directed to you Todd, I think it should be remembered that in either 2001 or 2002 (can't remember exactly) Jackie Sherrill had a horrific year family wise. If I remember correctly in the span of one month his mother died and his wife was diagnosed with cancer.

Actually Jackie lost his mother and brother, in addition to his wife being diagnosed with cancer. Think it was 2002 or 2003.
