To a young person, that extra 3 million will always be worth memories you've never had, especially when the NFL is so stingy with guaranteed money and playing careers are so short. I mean I haven't heard too many people say definitively that winning that championship was the happiest day of my life or it solved all my problems. It makes fans happy, for a lot of players it is a relief but the clock immediately starts ticking on failure whether you win or lose. Like the literal next article after the single one about the national champion will be..."way too early prediction for next year's champion". I think the competitive charade is just about over. Athletes are entertainers first and foremost and people want WWE style drama rather than good, tactical sport..as most people are too stupid to understand such things.
