is stuck with Shawn Watson.. saw the guy at a clinic years ago.. thought he was God's gift to offense. I remember he recruited JC QB Jordan Adams back when I used to do some work for the staff at Grossmont JC. I just laughed.. replaced Canada with that tool.

Riley had to take away play-calling duties from Langsdorf at Oregon State. Not sure why he hired him here and gave him play-calling duties.

Watson and our staff was fairly innovative. You do realize that four out of the five years he was here were were in the top 30 on offense?

Do you also realize that in Langsdorf's three years we really haven't been close to the top 30?

Riley is ready to retire.. he is not exactly a magnet for young asst coaches, the job is a bit toxic, and young coaches with young families don't want to uproot in 365 days..

What does it matter if you are getting slaughtered.. you were playing from behind and throwing to catch up. That's like breaking a TD record as QB while setting the INT record the same season..

Had more to do with the tempo Watson was running and the number of plays they got off. It also had to do with the fact that Martinez probably was best running the ball out of scramble situations in the passing game. He put up a bunch of yards chucking it deep but was also a turnover machine when doing that.
