Why can’t this school afford to open the wallet to buy talent? We’re in the SEC, and our brand is not THAT bad. Ole Miss? You telling me OM has a bigger checkbook than us? Indiana? Vandy? BS!
So, you are saying we haven't opened the wallet? That there is money in the wallet but we refuse to spend it?Why can’t this school afford to open the wallet to buy talent? Yeah, we have to pay people more to leave than to hire them, so there's that.We aren't paying Shane $30M to leave though it would probably be helpful. You can thank Ray for garbage hires in football and baseball and the regression in both sports over the past decade.
I don’t know what I'm asking anymore. My give-a-**** meter is brokenSo, you are saying we haven't opened the wallet? That there is money in the wallet but we refuse to spend it?
Ray's legacy as an AD: poor hires and obscene contracts for lackluster results.Yeah, we have to pay people more to leave than to hire them, so there's that.
It’s not a talent thing when comparing to programs like Vandy or Indiana. Over the past five years, Carolina has recruited much better than those two programs and looking at the rosters most would have said Carolina was easily more talented top to bottom.
All hail the talent composite. For the most part it is pretty indicative of where programs are though. At this point the team seems pretty deflated and isn’t clicking. It is what it is.According to this, we are more talented than Ole miss, Missouri and a lot more talented than vandy.
