We were at EB Friday night to scrimmage WB. EB has a huge OL and a big back. Will be tough to stop the run Robbie got going there. One tackle 6-5,other 6-6---280.
Good RB but should be good game. Good luck Friday.

yeah I heard they had a big line and heard the running backs were also tough. Do they pass a lot?

East Bladen might end up taking this one, but South Columbus looked much improved in their scrimmages. Coach Dove has them headed in the right direction and in another year or two ... The Stallions could be back in the conversation of being the team to beat in the Three Rivers.

East Bladen 28 South Columbus 7. The Eagles are well coached by Robbie Priest. The Eagles will make stops, and will be much better than a North Brunswick team the Stallions scrimmaged a week ago. South Columbus may be getting better, but they will find this one tough to win as East Bladen wins easily.

The Three Rivers will always come down between South Columbus, Whiteville, and Fairmont. None of the other teams, including us, can compete.

Numbers are WC problem again. No jv team it looks like. EB looked pretty good against a very big and improved South Robeson team.

I think SC is back sooner than some. Think
Its early, but I think SC,Whiteville might have to beat Fairmont for crown if Tornadoes play hard nose defense. Fairmont took a pretty good team to Whiteville few years ago and lost. They for sure have the off.

This game will be nip and tuck til the very end. Both of these teams have stout defenses and talented RB's. May come down to the best conditioned team and from what I saw, advantage South Columbus. They take it 21-20

Haven't seen SC yet this year, but I'm hearing a lot of good things. It's great to have a program of their history coming back into the picture. As for EB, a lot thought this would be a rebuilding year, but from what I've seen, they've just reloaded. The addition of the big back (Higgins) from last years JV, will be huge in diversifying the rushing attack along side the speedy Hines twins. I think EB takes this one 35-14

Whiteville and loris will always be our biggest rivals but IMO South Columbus/East Bladen has always been better games ... Very evenly matched teams other than the past two years.... But Stallions will be back and these battles will be a heavyweight fight once again in the near future ... We will see what the Stallions are holding Friday night

East Bladen's Defense last year was fool's gold. On paper, they looked great but the speed wasn't there. This year's D has plenty of speed, especially sideline to sideline, where we were weak last year.

Offensively, I think you will see the basic Offense that you have always seen. We have speed and power in the back field with the Hines, Robinson, and Higgans. Bedsole at QB has an above average arm and has pretty decent accuracy. I wouldn't be surprised if East didn't air it out a little more this year.

As for the game, Coach Dove may have some extra motivation coming to East Bladen but I think EB has too many weapons to deal with on Offense. The heat will be a factor so however deals with that will have an advantage. Good first game test for both teams.

Haven't seen either team...but know EB always shows up....The talk is the Stallions are much improved and extremely motivated.

Could this Stallion team be overlooked by many?
Could this Stallion team be out to prove themselves?
Could this be another "payback" year?

We will see....both teams have one heck of a history, and will come to play...Should be a great game.

Hate I'll miss it but I'll be out of town at my daughter's "white coat" ceremony at Eastern Virginia Medical School.....and I sure aint gonna miss that....so keep me up Shane.

Sounds like South Columbus kept the ball in their possession most of the game against North Brunswick, that's a good sign. Lost quite a few players from last year but it appears others are stepping in and filling the gaps nicely. Have only heard great things about Coach Dove and the whole staff for that matter. Will just have to hope the defense can come together and stop a potent Eagle running attack this early in the season. A tough task against an forever tough and well coached East Bladen team, but what else is new.

I think if the stallions can make some big stops at the beginning of the game and get the momentum going they will edge this one out. That being said, I'm not taking anything away from EB running game because I know they like to ground and pound just like South.

That's a very good point WingT, a couple of quick scores by EB could really hurt the Stallions chances. This team has to regain that confidence and know that falling behind early doesn't mean a game is over. Keep it close and anything can happen, sounds like this team is workin hard to regain some of it's lost mojo.

East Bladen won.
Took the words right out of my mouth. I mean, come on, just trying to relay information to everyone that may not have been able to attend the game. If it's not at the top of your interest list, then sorry I wasted that 5 seconds of your life that it took to read it.

And just as a reminder to everyone, especially those traveling from Tabor City. The game is scheduled for 7:00, not 7:30.

Physical game tonight by both teams! I felt like the stallions were in better shape as a team than EB but by no means am I taking anything away from a strong EB group! Always a tough match but the Stallions are definitely back!! Can you say WING-T baby!
