Not sure what to think about this game. But got a feeling Statesville will be the better team. South has a good RB but like last year hope he doesn’t get hurt and can stay healthy. I heard South struggle with the offensive line for the run game. Any thoughts

Think it’ll be a low scoring game, 21-7 Statesville. I’m not sold on Statesville being very good tbh
Statesville had talent n they have a qb from cali who i have heard is the real deal idk if he played vs carson but ik he was "suppose to" be the starter vs carson

Statesville may battle for 1st in the conference with East Lincoln. Wouldn’t surprise me to see this happen.

Statesville started out very slow vs Carson only 10-0 at half - Also Statesville QB is new n didn’t have much of the off season so Carson was his “Practice” game - If he pick up the offense faster n Get his arm in rhythm then I think this game for the Hounds could blow open.
South O line was decent vs North Iredell and They have a solid run game but Can they slow down the hounds and also SI secondary is a issue so Will the hound be able have success thur the air? South play North n Look good but this will be a True test for them

Game played at home may help South some. But speed could be an issue for South. I know Statesville has some quality players with good speed. My concern will be South secondary. They could burn South secondary on some passes. Also this may be an advantage to Statesville coach. I sure he knows South players real well.
My biggest thing is that the players stays healthy and injured free. This is for both teams. Last year our RB Neal got hurt and was taken out. If players can stay healthy we may see and exciting ballgame regardless of outcome.
Don’t count Statesville out in the conference their in. After what I read they returned 7 on offense and 6 on defense. They are in process of working with 3 QBs plus a transfer for the position. Plus speedy WRs one that runs 4.3 in 40. With good coaching staff they have, they could make some this season. Even going into the playoffs.
Statesville is very young but talented. Coaching staff is solid over there. I think they beat South by 21
If you want to know about Statesville, perhaps there should be some discussion about the scrimmage with East Surry. I have seen very little, like nothing, posted about that event. East Surry is the real deal. So, how did Statesville and East do? I do not know but I know a fair amount about East and they are good.
Don't know the specifics, but I did hear that both were solid against each other...
East Surry and Statesville we’re about dead even on the scoring throughout the entire event. Statesville I think may have had one more score……Statesville turned it over fumbled twice on the full field scrimmage at the end and it ended tied 14-14 on the four possessions each team had. But at the end of the day it was a scrimmage and players were rotating in and out with both squads. East has a solid team. The varsity for Statesville was in the black pants …You can YouTube the Statesville scrimmage and see what Statesville did.

One thing about it. I will pull for my team South Iredell no matter what. But when it comes to predictions. I try calling it the way I see it. I hope South can pull it out. Best of luck to both teams.

Scrimmage against East was great. I was shocked how dominate Statesville looked out there. Me and my son counted 9 tds for Statesville on the day and 4 for East. I'm alil surprised how fast Statesville players really are. Seen 3 screens get taken to house. Statesville speed gave East alot of problems
East is a very solid football team. Their Qb and WR #2 are they brothers? Hell of a combo. Love the chemistry they showed out there. The Qb is a gamer. Love his game. Very impressive kid. Never allowed the pressure to rattle him.

From what i hear that Statesville had a QB that transfered from California. Once he gets settled in with the system. He could be the real deal.
I would be suprised if the transfer is the starter this year. I don’t see it. The Qb who started last week looked far superior (at this time) . I think the transfer only had 2 series though. Time will tell when he gets his feet under him and some reps. I hope he’s the “real deal “ and have two solid qb’s that would be great

South wins 29-13. Statesville seemed unprepared , flat , slow. It didn’t help that Statesville didn’t have there starting QB but that would not have mattered offensive line was horrible . They were totally dominated in every facet of the game. I heard on radio on way home , South had 400yds offense to Statesvilles 85, yes 85 lol.
Heard through the grapevine that Statesville starting QB already kicked off the team. That might have hurt their offense last night game.

One thing for certain. Respect and being humble will take alot of kids a long way. If you can't buy into the TEAM. Don't come around
