Truth be told, I think we see a running clock by half this week. Watched video on them and they do not look very good at all.

I remember Murphy had a classic with the South Stanly REBELS in the 2A western finals in the 70's...They shot off a cannon when they scored a touchdown.......only fired twice that night though....

Murphy beat them 21-14. Very good South team. Think it was Randleman in the first round led by The King's Son, Kyle Petty, at QB.

Previous season, 1973, they made it to the third round of the playoffs. Future looked bright with a junior loaded team but they were rolled by Sylva Webster 78-7. Sylva had the Streater Brothers and they were great athletes and footballers!

South’s only win against a team with a winning record was last night against Lakewood. That should tell you what kind of a game you should expect but at least they are still playing.

Rebels had a bigger line than Murphy that year and a stud RB/LB..Corum? the name maybe?

South Stanly passes the eye test. They have size and speed. Can't seem to put it together. Nothing to see here. Running clock before halftime.

North Stanly has a game on the road with Granville Central first. GC is better this year than they were in past years. Hopefully, their visitor side seats are better than they were two years ago.

I have returned after dealing with some personal things and have been unable to attend games due to some unseen circumstances but I believe both North and South Stanly to be solid programs however i do not believe it will be enough to stop the machine called Tarboro.

Could combine them and NorthSouth Stanley still would be running clocked.

Don't know much about Tarboro. South Stanley is legit. They win by 3 touchdowns.

North Stanly lost to a 12-0 3A Northwest Cabarrus team by 4, Tarboro isn't putting up a running clock against them, just like they didn't come close to putting up one against Mount Airy last year. Tarboro will beat North Stanly comfortably but don't be ridiculous.The only thing that gives me pause is the loss of 4* NC State commit CJ Clark to a season ending injury, this will make things much tougher for North.

If I'm wrong about the running clock, I'll gladly eat crow but I don't see it.

North is legit. Key on one back, the other will see you in the endzone. With that said, Tarboro is so used to winning, it is hard to imagine anyone being better. I hope North wins this week. If they do, next week 1010 a.m. will broadcast from Tarboro. Looking forward to it.

Tarboro smacks SS and NS...

Last year MA team was as good as it gets and they only scored what “Once”...you guys are delusional. Not sure how long Tarboro’s been in 1A, but they finally got their feet under them. Murphy avoided them...rest of 1A should follow suit

It’s almost like people are trying to jinx Tarboro. Tarboro is good yeah, but they are not invincible. If they don’t come ready to play on Friday nights they can get beat just as easy as everybody else can.
