Bears just don't have very much pitching depth, which is surprising for a Bianco team.

How can this be?

Seriously, their pitching is thin this year and will give them problems on weekends. The spirit board is melting down now and if Bama takes 2 this weekend, there will be Jonestown-style suicides in their chat rooms.

That USM team is very young and talented. They've been inconsistent so far this year, but they should be very good in the coming years. Scott Berry has done a great job building on what Corky Palmer did there.

Lose two to Murray State this past weekend and then put a whupping on OM tonight. I don't think this USM team continues the streak of making a regional, but they are very young and talented.

Not sure about the depth of the class because I don't pay attention much outside the Dandy Dozen, but Mason Robbins and Connor Barron might have been the best in the state. Then Anthony Alford this year? Scott Berry is doing just fine.

Laxer and Buchanan were top level recruits. Saying that they aren't solid depth is like saying Bracewell and Graveman weren't in their freshman years. Anyone with a brain knew they'd be good in time. Same goes for Woodruff, Fitts, Cox, Gaines, Holder and Lindgren on our team. Guaranteed that at least 4 of those 6 will be top level SEC pitchers - they are too talented not to be.

Thanks. Robbins is already on an 18 game hitting streak. He just looks like the real thing at the plate.

if they get Anthony Alford or not.

Barron and Robbins were big time USM fans growing up. Credit them for keeping their guys in house- something we failed to do in the past.
