You can have rules. Rules are upheld by authority. Thats authoritarian.

I'm just correcting you calling it positive for freedom. It's literally the opposite. Let's call things what they are.

As for the "lack of decency" - well, different cultures define decency differently. Just look at how much our culture hates skirts on men right now while it's normalized in Scotland. When you start putting rules here - it is a restriction of freedom, not an exercise of "my freedom ends where yours begins." It's literally taking your "freedom" and extending it over someone else's.
Does this fall under "authoritarian rule"?

Is this a "positive for freedom or is it "literally the opposite"?

Do you define this as a "lack of decency" or is there a culture that you are friendly with that condones this? Maybe she needs one of your skirts for it to be decent?

This wasn't taken by me but was roundly circulated a few years back but was taken in the Junction right next to somebody's tailgate obviously so is it allowable or not?

It hasn't degraded. They had an incident involving people that weren't students or even alumni once and our ultra conservative asses want to go scorched earth now. Then you've got an AD who has already said he wants to incorporate the Junction into the actual game. It's all going to simply be an additional money maker. Just more reason people would rather watch at home these days than pay stupid money every weekend. I admit, they've lost me as a fan who will attend games. I can't afford everything they're asking now and it's only going to get worse until it all comes apart for college athletics. Our football isn't good enough to waste a fortune on and it never will be.
There’s been more than one issue.

In addition to those issues (multiple), it smelled like a damn panic concert mixed up with bourbon street around Mardi Gras.

I've been in it the last two years and there's been no problems whatsoever. Take away the one deal and it's no different than it's ever been. We got too many old sore heads that think everything is worse every year.
You either don’t go a lot or your are lying.

And the last two years have only been slightly better maybe bc we sucked balls.

Been there almost every single home game and it's hasn't been bad at all. Fat College girls half dressed is probably the worst thing I've seen and I'm on the east side with the kids too. Lots of drinking and carrying on and that's it. Olds are olds and just pissy all the time when kids have fun.

OH MY GAWD! COLLEGE KIDS DRINK AND SMOKE WEED! Holy 17! Let's clutch ALL our pearls at once why don't we!
If you can’t understand why the university doesn’t want the smell of a grunge concert in the direct path of getting in and out of then stadium then that’s on you. No one can help you understand.

Im 43 and single and still party almost as hard as my body will let me but use some common sense.

and it was worse than you are letting on. If it wasn’t as bad as it was it’s only bc we haven’t been good and less people were coming.

I feel like the people complaining about the Junction have never tailgated at LSU. They have LITERAL stripper poles set up. And these are the adults. Granted, LSU is more spread out, but where we tailgate…a stones through from the middle of the Junction…it’s like a church picnic. I guess the unfortunate part is the worst offenders usually have the prime spots.

I don’t know, y’all correct me if I’m wrong.

The Junction is one of the most tame atmospheres in college football. The positive is the Junction will look more full with the tents. The negative is it will push out some people.

Every school has rowdy tailgate areas. Everyone understands college kids will party. But they don’t put them at the primary entrance to the stadium where the bulk of people have to walk by in and out of the stadium.
Most of the Students aren't at the entrance, they're down by Dorman where the concert stage is set up.

They are now bc we took away the half closest to the stadium last year. In 2023 it was an embarrassment from front to back. Blame whoever you want but we couldn’t keep letting that be the center of campus on the 7 most important days of the year for student recruiting.

When the school sets up the concert stage at Dorman, the students are going to be there. Are they moving concerts to the Amp too?

I blame campus police and security for not doing their jobs. I like the current set up and honestly, where those tents are going isn't going to move many people. They'll be in part of that area you're talking about.

I doubt that happens. But we will see. This is a great move. It’s exactly what I said should happen 2 years ago when things sunk to an all time low.

The students aren't at the concert stage. There are some loud tailgates set up near and along the center sidewalk that are students. But no students are hanging out in that area because of some obscure, struggling country musician.

The people in the road in front of the stage, watching tv and listening to the music are mainly middle aged people. Or people just passing through or waiting for dog walk.

there is a big tailgate at the south end on the center walk with the ridiculous speakers; they look to be alumni and their, maybe college age kids. They were told to turn their music down and did last season.

the 2023 season was when all this came to a head. When there was a freaknick near and around the center sidewalk on the north end. Partiers crowded the sidewalks on all sides and near the Seal building without any regard to those trying to exit the stadium. Being rude and obnoxious as h e l l.

I've been to every home game for the past 3 years. Give or take one or two.

It's crazy how many of you just don't get it.

1. I'm personally for some limitations and separating us from the animals. I think libertarians are stupid idiots with the mental capacity of house cats.

2. Regulations and rules restricting what someone does with their own body IS NOT PROMOTING FREEDOM. Dude said it was. I corrected him. He got his feelings hurt and started throwing personal insults. Couldn't accept he was wrong and be a man.

Bonus. Her vandalizing someone's property if she did indeed **** / piss out there is infringing on other's freedom, so you have an argument there that ain't much worth pursuing. Let's just agree to learn to not say "Yay this is a good day for FREEDOM" when you limit someone else's freedom. You sound like an uneducated and easily duped moron then.

infringe on my freedom to enjoy myself without being impacted by you?
Ahh the sacred 11th right in the Bill of Rights, The freedom to enjoy myself without being impacted by anything. "The right of the citizens of the several states to partake of enjoyments shall not be infringed or impacted by anything or any other person by twerking, dancing in a fashion deemed inappropriate by said citizen, or in any manner deemed to be "too ethnic". " I think Madison specifically mentions twerking in Federalist 69.*

JK. .. I get it, and I agree with you. the phrase just sounded funny for some reason.

I think most people who are reading you get what you're saying; I think you're just being overly pedantic about it. Just my $0.02.

Also, I'm all for more ladies pulling their britches down in public.

I'm with you on the first point but be careful on the second. I chuckle at the various gangs of girlfriends walking around on game day where they appear to have coordinated their "tight and/or short" attire for the day. Invariably there is the one, we'll call them "large", friend, that either doesn't own a mirror or her friends are liars.

He is misrepresenting the situation entirely. I go to every game and this is exactly how it is and it's not what we need right by the gates to get in the stadium. Let them do whatever they want in a designated area away from where everyone walks in.

They don't have it 20 yards from the gate you are walking into the stadium. I love tailgating at LSU and would love to go to a stripper pole tailgate if you can tell me where one is, but I don't imagine anyone would want that 25 yards from the gate walking in with kids.

I bet you think 2+2 can be anything you want it to be don’t you.
Two answers. One relies on base-ball. If I'm hitting a triple then 2+2=11. If I hit a home run then 2+2=10. Beyond that I don't have much freedom because of rules.

If you allow me to divide by zero then I can make it anything else that I want yes. But some jackass made rules and I don't have freedom in math. Damn authorities

They also have stripper poles at the strip club, but I don't take my kids there either.
