Every school has rowdy tailgate areas. Everyone understands college kids will party. But they don’t put them at the primary entrance to the stadium where the bulk of people have to walk by in and out of the stadium.

oh i'm sorry - are you mad you got outsmarted at being dumb?
There is certainly someone dumb in this convo and i think its the person arguing their freedoms were taken away b/c they can't tailgate in the junction. In actuality, you are still free to tailgate in the junction all you want. Just seems like you either have to do that without a tent or by using southern tailgate.

But keep talking in circles. Its fun!

1. The students aren't at the entrance anymore, that was already handled
2. Junction will look better with the tents
3. Olds are going old no matter because their time and ways are always better. I predict they complain about the concerts next since they'll be closer.
4. This change isn't going to change much of anything and it's just bitching to be bitching unless you don't want your tent in the junction

It's crazy how many of you just don't get it.

1. I'm personally for some limitations and separating us from the animals. I think libertarians are stupid idiots with the mental capacity of house cats.

2. Regulations and rules restricting what someone does with their own body IS NOT PROMOTING FREEDOM. Dude said it was. I corrected him. He got his feelings hurt and started throwing personal insults. Couldn't accept he was wrong and be a man.

Bonus. Her vandalizing someone's property if she did indeed **** / piss out there is infringing on other's freedom, so you have an argument there that ain't much worth pursuing. Let's just agree to learn to not say "Yay this is a good day for FREEDOM" when you limit someone else's freedom. You sound like an uneducated and easily duped moron then.
While I applaud you generally for shiiting on libertarianism, I do encourage you to work on your skills when it comes to being condescending. Even those of us who may appear to have mastered it will admit it's not an easy skill and requires constant vigilance.

I mean the only people bitching right now are the people being moved out of the junction.

There's almost nobody being moved out. They're putting the tents on the NE side of the Junction where fewer people were anyway. It's going to fill in some empty space too. The handful of groups that were there will just move over.

Yea I wasn't trying to be patronizing or diplomatic when it comes to that topic, so not shocked I didn't meet expectations at condescension. I enjoy the opportunities to be a jackass when I'm right and the person who's wrong digs their heels in. It's more satisfying to piss them off when you call out that they can't win the argument and personally insult you. Not like I was really gonna sway their mind anyways even if I patronized them.

2. Regulations and rules restricting what someone does with their own body IS NOT PROMOTING FREEDOM.

Freedom does not mean a complete lack of rules. While freedom often involves a reduction of external constraints, it also requires a framework of rules to ensure a functioning society and protect individual liberties. Complete absence of rules would likely lead to chaos and could actually limit freedom rather than enhance it.

Rules, even those that technically limit individual actions, can actually enable freedom by creating a stable and predictable environment. For example, traffic laws allow people to move around safely, even though they restrict where and how they can drive.

This idea is often referred to as the "social contract".

I hope this helps explain my position. Besides being an "old", I just found out I'm dumb too, so I tried my best to smarten it up for you intelligent young bucks.

Not to pile on too much, but having a minor in philosophy isn't really burnishing one's credentials for subject-matter expertise. I minored in Asian studies and I can't even tell you what's in Crab Rangoon.

But I bet you can pronounce General Tso chicken correctly? I did not minor in Asian studies and find myself mumbling when ordering it.

Reading the room has nothing to do with being right. It's about being comfortable and accepting what's wrong.

How you continually dunk on yourself is astounding. Is this a bit? 0 for 3.

Gentlemen, you're arguing with a person who hyphenated baseball.
Yes. Was laying it on thick for a dumbass who might need help figuring out the base 3 number system joke made at their expense. This is why i try not to bother with patronization / condescension, gives you too much confidence that your mommy was right and you are the specialist little smart guy.

Any idiot can get a minor in Philosophy. I know, I have a degree in in. Yes a whole *** major. And I am just a dumbass libertarian that knows the two ingredients in crab rangoon are crab and rangoon.

Your best? Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and **** the prom queen.
Well, philosophy majors go home and talk about how they like to pretend the 3 they're with is really like a prom queen....while the three they're with is texting her friends laughing about his tiny dick.

I thought you were old enough to know the movie quote. I guess I was wrong. Score 1 for you to my 3 now. Maybe you can reverse sweep!

I know the movie quote. One of the great movies of our time. I also know that dudes with tiny schmackels shouldn't be quoting real men like Sean Connery.

Do you mean ST is taking over closer to Lloyd Ricks?
I recall a few large tents on that side. At least around the sidewalk.

Across Creelman, Is the fence down in front of Lee and new physical plant? That should open up some room too.

Seems to me the Greater Delta Alumni Group has had a large party tent set up on the Amphitheater side for 35 plus years close to the parking lot north of the cheese store. I cannot see them ever moving from that spot to accommodate the rowdy crazies! just keep the kraziness away from the Barnes & Noble and Lot 28 areas!

as for anarchy vs authoritarianism, give me the latter every time.

When the school sets up the concert stage at Dorman, the students are going to be there. Are they moving concerts to the Amp too?

1. The students aren't at the entrance anymore, that was already handled
2. Junction will look better with the tents
3. Olds are going old no matter because their time and ways are always better. I predict they complain about the concerts next since they'll be closer.

Not true, I was at a great location with ST that we had paid for 10+ years. I have no desire to be in the Junction. Been there done that when I was younger. My ST group had a great spot and are pissed we're being moved with no say in the matter. MSU game day management strikes again handling things the wrong way.

So you already know exactly where you’ll be for this upcoming tailgate?

I'm trying to find that out. ST designated a tent location for us, but who knows if we will actually like that spot. We had been renewing as early as possible to keep our previous location in the amphitheater, so it's just wait and see from this point.
