After seeing Joliet West, Plainfield South, and Plainfield East play I think Plainfield East can go on a roll and will the conference. They have a few things to clean up but have some good talent and should be a really solid team.

Agree. Won’t matter though. Whoever wins that division will get into the playoffs at 5-4 or 6-3 and probably get running clocked in the first round.

The Jr class has some talent at the skills positions, if they have the guys up front they might go on a roll.

I was slightly incorrect. It was 28-14 and PE fumbled going into the end zone, then at 28-20, the PE receiver dropped a TD pass on 4th down. Next play, Minooka broke a long one for a TD and game over.

both losses (PL North and Minooka) East had the ball late in the game with a chance to tie, so both scores are a little deceiving.

If PLE can protect the ball, they have a chance, from what I've seen, OHS' strength is forcing TO's and PLE's weakness is turning it over.

SPC East now a combined 2-22 with the only wins being against West Aurora... the way these schedules were constructed is moronic.

If you think about it, it actually makes some (a little little bit) sense. The "good" teams battle it out and most of them make the playoffs with a ton of playoff points. The East then gets 1 or 2. If it was one big conference, or evenly distributed, there would likely be less representatives and the West teams would be less battle tested. Minooka, PNorth, Oswego, Oswego East and Yorkville just need 1 conference win to get in. You could have 2 teams at 5-4 + in the East and make it.

This Yorkville/WA game could mean an awful lot to Yorkville.

Valid point. Just wish they would shuffle up the schedules so it's not all the easy games at the beginning and then a gauntlet to finish (for the west... opposite for the east).

I'm assuming head-to-head and then something along the lines of point differential.
