Agree. Won’t matter though. Whoever wins that division will get into the playoffs at 5-4 or 6-3 and probably get running clocked in the first round. After seeing Joliet West, Plainfield South, and Plainfield East play I think Plainfield East can go on a roll and will the conference. They have a few things to clean up but have some good talent and should be a really solid team.
They've been able to put up points against the 2021 class, but have never had the ability to stop OHS. I don't think they can stop the Dline of Oswego though. They will have the QB on the run all game. Can they give Oswego a game?
They lost by 2 scores. They played Minooka well, but I’m not sure they’ve got the OL
It was tied at 21 and a dropped TD pass by PE could have had them up 6. It was closer than two scoresThey lost by 2 scores.
If PLE can protect the ball, they have a chance, from what I've seen, OHS' strength is forcing TO's and PLE's weakness is turning it over.both losses (PL North and Minooka) East had the ball late in the game with a chance to tie, so both scores are a little deceiving.
This Yorkville/WA game could mean an awful lot to Yorkville. If you think about it, it actually makes some (a little little bit) sense. The "good" teams battle it out and most of them make the playoffs with a ton of playoff points. The East then gets 1 or 2. If it was one big conference, or evenly distributed, there would likely be less representatives and the West teams would be less battle tested. Minooka, PNorth, Oswego, Oswego East and Yorkville just need 1 conference win to get in. You could have 2 teams at 5-4 + in the East and make it.

I wish they would allow for non-conference games.Valid point. Just wish they would shuffle up the schedules so it's not all the easy games at the beginning and then a gauntlet to finish (for the west... opposite for the east).

I honestly thought that's what was going to happen. At least WA and Yorkville are new opponents.2 non-conference games
5 conference games
2 cross-overs
or
1 non-conference game
5 conference games
3 cross-overs
and it also eliminated the East Aurora/West Aurora game.I honestly thought that's what was going to happen. At least WA and Yorkville are new opponents.
For the conference championship?Does anyone know the tiebreaker procedure? Who gets the bid if it is a 3-way tie?
Playoff points maybe. I thought there was a three tie a couple years ago, but I don't remember how they figured it out.I'm assuming head-to-head and then something along the lines of point differential.
Playoff points would be bogus in a closed conferencePlayoff points maybe. I thought there was a three tie a couple years ago, but I don't remember how they figured it out.
True, I looked back, though and there wasn’t a tie, but 3 way for 2nd.Playoff points would be bogus in a closed conference
