I haven't had much of a chance to develop strong opinion on SP this year as I could not make the Watauga scrimmage. I heard some good things from the scrimmage. Hearing really good things about our new FB and, of course, Blee is going to be tough. As with most teams, it will come down to defense and O line to determine what type of team we have. SP has a loaded schedule this year with Hickory, Crest, KM, Northwestern so we might as well see a good team in week 1 and expect that out of Hickory. Thoughts?

This is going to be a tough match up for both teams, IMO. HHS has some really good talent, but they are not varsity tested as most have had to sit behind two year starter over the last couple of seasons. HHS has some quality coaching and I'm sure they will get our team ready to play. It's always tough to defend the triple option and the Red Bone is really tough. I'm looking forward to the game and hope to run into our old friend Easyraider at the game.
This is going to be a good game. If you have to play against SP it is better to do it in the first couple of games before they get the offensive kinks ironed out. It will not surprise me to see these two teams meet twice this season.

We don’t play NW. We play HKY,TC,Mount pleasant and a private school that is pretty dang good from what I hear

Correct. If Blee and Pless stay healthy they will make a run. They can afford to lose Blee over Pless probably. Very little depth at FB this year.
I don’t know how down Hickory was from last year. They sure had a chance to force OT and blew it. It reminded me of big Sully swatting down a Crest pass on the goal line to win a game. The blow outs are fun but the pull em out of the fire wins are special.
