COVID-19 strikes again. Got word this morning that SP's September 3rd matchup with RS has been cancelled. Hopefully the Raiders will be able to find an opponent on short notice.

COVID has already won six to eight games this year. I’m afraid it’s going to end up destroying the season. Schools may end up canceling more games than they will be able to make up. As in Spring ball, some real good teams will probably miss the playoffs because of COVID.

The teams with COVID get an “L”. Their scheduled opponent gets a free pass to the next round. Sad way to run a railroad but probably not much more could be done.

I think it’s already more games canceled then the entire spring season. At some point in the spring season I was no longer that concerned about missing games due to covid

Pisgah is open on the third and I have been told they are looking for a game to make up for the Brevard ,Crest games that were cancelled.

Not my intent to start a long political thread but probably will.

Covid is here to stay. Vaccine or not it is reality. Are we going to mask and social distance forevermore and cancel every time a player tests positive? If so, call it all off now. No more life, period. Would bet that almost every program has a positive case in it right now.

Keep players that test positive and those directly impacted out. Let those who accept the risk play.

I would go one step further. If you’re sick stay at home. If you aren’t then go to work or school or football or whatever. It’s been that way since the beginning of time. It’s called common sense. I’ll probably get crucified by some for that thought. But it is what it is.

100% agree with you both! Time to stop living scared.

I like what you guys said. We are going to have to figure something out. The way things are going this season is basically a exhibition. Things may get called off altogether, or may as well be.

I agree with you 100%. Life and living is a risk. Time to get back to normal. If you are sick, stay home. If you are scared and want to wear a mask then go for it. Wear 10 of them if that is what you feel you need to do.
