**Only valid in the event we finish 5-7 and need to use the APR to receive a bowl invitation.
Kent State (3-6) v Akron (4-6)
Ohio (6-3) v Western Michigan (5-4)
(All four of these teams are below us in the APR, so they have to be at six wins to be in line in front of us.)
The ideal situation is for neither of these teams to get to six wins. Our ol' friend JoMo needs two wins to get there, and the two teams has has left on the schedule are 3-6 Kent State and 3-7 Bowling Green. Sorry Joe, we need you to lose to the Flashes tonight. With a win tonight, Kent State would remain in the hunt, but would still need wins over Central Michigan and Northern Illinois to reach six wins. That's doable it seems, but let's make them win three straight. The other path here is for Akron to win tonight, which eliminates Kent State, then lose to 3-7 Bowling Green next week. I don't feel so great about Akron losing that one.
Ohio is already bowl eligible so pull for them. Western Michigan still has Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan left and both of them are under .500 so they are likely to get to 6 wins eventually, but no reason to cheer for it tonight.
FYI the MAC standings are truly something to behold. Four way tie for first, then a three way tie for fifth, then JoMo in 8th another half game back, and Kent State sits in 9th place with a decent chance to finish 5-3 and perhaps be in the mix.
