got a year older but not a year better?

Maybe a little, but I think the bigger issue is that last year we had a good, but not great team, that got hot towards the end of the year and was also built for big fields. The odds of a repeat performance were always slim. We needed hitters to get better and to find some replacement pitching.

I think we still have pitchers that could figure it out, but on hitting I think we'll just have to be lucky and get hot in order to have a chance. The problem is our odds would be a lot better if we got to host. If we end up in a regional in a crackerjack stadium, it'd be asking a lot of our pitching and defense to get us through a regional.

Maybe but let's be real here. Adam Frazier and Hunter Renfroe protected a lot of garbage last year. We have added no big bats to that lineup. What were we expecting?

I do to a big extent, all of the autograph signing, picture taking w/ the kids (and adults too for that matter, I saw grownups getting their picture taken w/ Ross Mitchell yesterday come on people he's a college kid), halftime honoring, preseason hype, etc etc gave them too much comfort zone I think.
