Spending $ for wr's have to use them, can't risk having to depend on the read option again next year

I understand the decision after seeing the wr's... although I'm not sold on AK I definitely wasn't sold on Gavin improving as a passer...let's see how AK slings it, if anything, closer to seeing Shepard get a shot. These receivers look elite..might have 4 or 5 legit weapons at that spot...have to at least give them a chance to make plays..if I was ak id change my number to 47 and start firing daily because he will have a chance to remake himself here. If not Shepard has always looked like a legit QB from the time I watched his highschool tape. I just didn't want to expect much because it's long island. Lol either way should be an interesting year. Good luck to Gavin as well, I hope he finds a good landing spot and improves his accuracy. Just too much at stake at RU to mess around this year..

Yeah that's why I said "if anything", meaning worst case scenario for AK...season doesn't have to be going south, this team is good, could be the coaches want more from the QB spot than what they are getting from AK...but I doubt it, he should be able to hold the spot down as Gavin did last year and they will reassess at the end of the season again.
