I gotta say i agree with him.
And ive always thought the NCAA should allow players to get paid for advertisements up to a certain amount. Im against Universities straight up paying players but if thry are good enough to advertise they should get paid. This way the athletic depts wont go bankrupt, only the worthy players get paid, and it just seems right.

As long as they are not wearing team gear I might be ok it.

In actuality they shouldn't be allowed. Quit the football team, and go be a professional promoter of yourself.

Allowing this will create a legal money stream to high profile recruits that only the haves can afford.

Ed O'Bannon had his time in court trying to get "his" money. He and others got money from EA sports, but the courts ruled no way to get money from amateur athletics.

Consider many get compensated through scholarships, room and board, and now pocket money.

I agree with Speilman on a personal note. If your Alma wants to use your image, coolbeans. Don't bring corporate entities into it without agreement of the player.
