Will legalized pot in CO affect recruiting?

I say no. It may draw recruits to Colorado, but those recruits will quickly become irrelevant under the effects of the said pot.

It actually could be a real issue for coaches there. I wonder how that will affect team rules.

Also, pot legalization voted down in Oregon...

so all of their players will have to continue to get high illegally anyway.

Also note that Peyton Manning recently purchased some Papa John's Pizza places in Denver.

Looks like Peyton was way ahead of the curve on this one. Smart guy.

This decision isn't that surprising. Last time I was in Boulder, a guy was smoking a joint out in the open on Pearl St. Cop walks up to him and says "could you wait until I'm not right here to do that, please."

Spent a little time in NYC. I had to get off the train and walk about 2 blocks through Harlem to get to the building I was meeting my boss at for work and I walked past 2 people just smoking pot blatantly walking down the street in smelling distance of police officers. The southeast is the only place that cares about weed.

Sounds like it's time to remake Smokey and the Bandit.

The Sherriff of Bexar county has basically said he doesn't want his officers

wasting any more time or resources, and is going to tell them to just write tickets. At least he said that a year ago or so, I don't really know if he's pushed it through or not.

pretty much. you can't walk around on the west coast more than 15 minutes without smelling weed. i was surpirsed oregon voted down their weed legalization. and it passed easily in washington. there's too much real crime to worry about than to spend time worrying about someone smoking a joint.

i was also reading an article earlier stating that legalizing weed in just colorado and washington could have a substantial hit on the profits of the mexican cartel. because the weed grown in america is much better, and now that there are states where it can be grown and possessed legally, some of it will obviously be grown to be moved to other states. if a few more states join colorado and washington, it could be a $1.4B hit on the $2B in profits the cartel makes.

Depends on pricing, It's taxed 3 times before it hits the consumer in Wash. St. "The Washington state measure includes a 25% tax imposed when the grower sells marijuana to a processor, again when the processor sells it to a retailer, and a third time when the retailer sells it to a customer."

"Ahhh, but Captain Jack will get you through the night

And take you to your special island."

For you younger dawgs, someone told me several years ago that the classic Billy Joel song referred to reefers.

Captain Jack was supposedly the nickname for the bearded guy on Zig-Zag cigarette-rolling papers.

I hope you don't do dope, kid.

Don't know what you can do with that input, it just came to mind after a few decades, when I was listening to a Billy Joel CD driving to Starkville last weekend. And now, this election...
