A 2012 line of Autry/Cox/Boyd/Eulls has the potential to be our best DL since the late 90's. Interestingly, the signing of Autry really could benefit Cox if he were to stay. Who are you going to double team on that line? Ward would just be the cherry on top at this point, but it would be one hell of a cherry. Antoine is a very nice pickup and is a safety in the same mold as Arrington and Whitley- BIG hitters. We also have a couple of developmental guys like Market and Calhoun. Thames allegedly coming back is also a great thing for depth, especially for FS. Good shape here. Note: Banks mentioned something on twitter the other night about Calhoun being the next lockdown corner at State, so maybe he is not going to be at safety.[/b]</div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><br style="min-width: 0px; "></div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><b style="min-width: 0px; "><u style="min-width: 0px; ">ATH[/u][/b]</div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#660000" style="min-width: 0px; "><b style="min-width: 0px; ">Deonte Evans 5'11/187 McComb *** [MSU][/b]</font></div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#660000" style="min-width: 0px; "><b style="min-width: 0px; ">Adairius Barnes 5'11/180 Port Gibson *** [MSU][/b]</font></div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#660000" style="min-width: 0px; "><b style="min-width: 0px; "><br style="min-width: 0px; ">[/b]</font></div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><b style="min-width: 0px; "><u style="min-width: 0px; ">K[/u][/b]</div><div style="min-width: 0px; max-width: 99%; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; background-color: rgb(190, 190, 190); "><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#660000" style="min-width: 0px; "><b style="min-width: 0px; ">Devon Bell [MSU][/b]</font></div></div>

Have we dropped him? Grades? I was under the impression at one time that he was one of our top OL recruits.

The chatter has been it appears he isn't an SEC-caliber prospect and will be headed to a JUCO. How accurate this is, I don't know but there it is since this kind of stuff is encouraged.

punt very well. His field goal accuracy is a possible weakness and that is why Mullen is trying to convince Michael Mordeci to come in as a preferred walk on or gray shirt and hopefully develop him into a good field goal kicker. Bell supposedly puts it out of the end zone on kickoffs.

kicker ??? ..... I know we have needs to fill, but after rewatching several of our games I think a good FG kicker would be at the top of our needs list

are so precious I think it is hard to justify spending two on kickers in one year but I don't know what Mullen is thinking. Mordeci won the private school championship against Prep on the last play of the game from 45 yards out after having already kicked it from the 40 successfully due to a penalty. I know his parents well, very good folks.

But if Bell has accuracy issues, I'm wondering why we don't give Mordecai the scholarship and ask Bell to walk on or grayshirt.</p>

Senior and siddoway have been evaluated as 3 stars. A. Perkins will be a tight end per our coaches, and I think this is pretty much done deal. Lelland ducksworth will be healthy by this summer. Wallet is healthy-actually played in an all star game or is going to soon. We will absolutely get beniquez brown unless we somehow got like richie Channing and liggins or something (thus filling up, don't see it happening, so I think we take b brown). B brown will not visit anywhere else if he commits.

I wouldnt have Will Redmond highlighted in maroon as of yet. He is taking visits left and right and basically said that Georgia, their coaching staff, facilities, and Athens blew his mind. We need him bad, but I wouldnt call him a commit until he signs on the dotted line.

He also said it wasn't enough to overtake us. He will be allowed to go that far from home. His true options are us um ut vandy and Memphis so basically us and vandy with um on the way outside looking in. He and his mom are like best friends and she has nipped the georgias and notre dames in the bud.

he has a massive lower body and will certainly not play QB in the SEC, which is the only position he played in HS I believe. I could see him possibly getting Balis-Made and being like a Melvin Ingram.

this fall at the qb slot. Damn nice thing to have a TE that can get under center and be an insurance policy for us.

So Redmond isn't taking an official at Ole Miss anymore? I don't have an account with anyone because I'm a broke college kid, but he's not listed as a soft verbal anymore and it's not listed anymore that he's taking an official at Ole Miss. What's the inside information?

It's imperative that he stays with us. Our DL gets a lot of recogntion in recruiting, rightfully so, but the way we recruit corners we are able to reload every 2 years or so. Slay/Broomfield/Calhoun ought to finish out the season for us next year with Calhoun/Redmond coming in the year after.

Calhoun is going to be a beast, by the way.

Per him in an interview it's what he was told during his in home visit by the coaches. He said he was fine with it. Doesn't have the defensive mentality, and is very elusive with not quite enough speed for wr
