At the Chinese owned gas station off of Fisher Ferry in Vicksburg. I think it was called Carson's?

forget the first one I drank. I was 13 and it was a regular Coors. I lived outside of New Orleans at the time (I don't think that you could buy Coors in Mississippi back then). It tasted so bad to me that I haven't had a regular Coors until about a month ago. It was the only beer I could find and didn'ttaste nastylike I remembered from over 30 years ago.

Bud Quart for .89 in west Jackson after workclosing grocery store - I was 15. Skipped home that evening with a nice buzz. Miss the days you could get a good buzz on a quart of beer.

Spent MANY thursday evenings at the Dutchbar. Sid always took care of me. Many, many stories.</p>

Was a bagboy. 16 years old. SOP was that we could leave with a sixpack in a double wrapped paper grocery bag covered with with crushed ice. FWIW, the Liberty Deville was the Fresh Market of NE Jackson in the seventies

It felt like I was across from the Emporium talking about my jobwith the city just to keep a little change in my pocket.

Bud was my first "beer", I was about 14 and I absolutely hated it but then had a Miller Lite and feel in love. I've hated Budweiser products ever since.

My first REAL beer was a Newcastle, I was about 19. The beer has only gotten stronger and darker since then.

I think it was from the liquor store next to the Sack n Save near campus, at 18... would have been spring of freshman year, 1989.

My first legal drink was at the Cotton District Grill. I distinctly recall them having a "free drink on your birthday" policy. For some unknown reason, I had this great idea that a martini was going to be *that* drink. That was actually the first and only time I have been ID'd... go figure... they just didn't want to give away a drink to a false claim. One of the nastier drinks I've ever had too..

Four corners being where Neshoba, Winston, Attala and Leake counties meet. If you could get it to the counter they would sell it to you. I had just turned 16 at the time. Bought the girl in the car some wine coolers (they were all the rage in 1986) and that investment paid off before the end of the night.
