Not smart, but not a huge deal either. I'm guessing they both get suspended a few games.

That's not a huge amount, but stupid AF with all your obligations. It's very illegal in Florida. Good luck.
Our freshman receivers better grow up fast. Outside of DPE we have nothing in the way of experience now. This is one of those players we just could not afford to lose.
Already reduced to a misdemeanor..........pay a fine......may sit out a game or two is my guess .....this is a non issue.

The City of Dallas voted to make anythng under a quarter pound a ticketed offense. That means non-criminal as long as there are no other offenses and live in Dallas County.

I had to google the conversion, but 21 grams = .74 ounces. Less than an ounce in Nebraska isn't even a jail-able offense yet its a felony in Florida? Its a simple cite and release with a $100 and court cost fine. If that happened here, nobody would have likely even knew it happened if he just paid the ticket.
I agree that this (hopefully) shouldn't have much of an impact to the season, assuming it's a 1 or 2 game suspension, but for a guy who going into his senior year looks like a possible draft pick, the lack of judgment will likely cost him a few bucks.
I'm thinking more along the lines of run some stadium stairs or sit out the first quarter against Arkansas State. One or two games is a bit much.
He should vacationis Colorado instead of Florida. I don't care what anyone says it frickin illegal. Not sure I want a kid that thinks so little of his team. Just me.
I hope you're right, and don't strongly disagree with your thoughts, my point is that it is likely more of a financial impact for Stanley than it is a big W-L impact for the 2017 Nebraska football team.
Jesus people it's weed. Everyone smokes it. This is a non issue and I hope Riley handles this the right way. Suspend him for the 1st quarter and move on.
Last I checked it was illegal in the vast majority of states. A little over the top to say EVERYONE SMOKES IT. Saw Reefer Madness as a kid and it scared me straight.
Think he's going to have to be suspended for at least an entire game, but some people seem to be assuming that he's gone from the team, and that seems way over the top.

If he's kicked off the team this would be a travesty of epic proportion. Didn't Reilly get a DUI and nothing happened? Drinking while driving = Fine Possession of a plant that's never killed anyone = Bad
Non issue? Sit out two games and he misses the Oregon game. We need him for that game.

That is probably true...and once it is legal all over...smokers will FINALLY have nothing to talk/complain about! I can't wait!
