"They're one of the better teams we've played all season," MSU coach Rick Stansbury said. "They're experienced; they have nine seniors and juniors. They've lost three games by a total of eight points, and two of them were without their best player."

MSU is 1-4 against Horizon League teams with the last meeting coming against Butler, a 47-46 loss in the 2003 NCAA Tournament.</p>

I don't care about who Wright State has playing for them or what teams they have played this year, we should beat them by 20 at the Hump.

what coach ever doesn't talk up the team he's about to play? Why single out Stans to criticize for something that every coach in America does?</p>

He should say if we go out and do what we know we can do then we should win. No need to talk up the other team.

"Wright State has a nice little team, but I expect us to beat the ever-loving crap out of them." Is that what he should say? Jeebus, he can't even take a piss without you or your dad (Coach) complaining about the angle of his pecker.

Bear Bryant used to make every damn opponent on Bama's schedule sound like a national championship contender leading up to games, only to beat them by 30 points. This is quite a reach, even for you, and that's saying something.

And no, I'm not comparing Rick to Bryant as a coach.

I think it's pretty obvious that you are the one trying to "hedge your bets" by saying that we should cover easily. That way you can come back and say "we suck" and "I told you so" after it doesn't happen, which is what you expect and most definitely hope for.
Wright State lost by 5 to Washington (11th in the rpi) and by 1 to Miami, so there might actually be some credence to what Stans is saying

Have you ever heard of the term "coach speak?" The only thing that sucks about basketball season is fishwater shows up.
