</div><div id="postBody" class="BlogMain_EntryContent">Meridian basketball star Rodney Hood will announce his college choice at noon Wednesday from the Boys and Girls Club in Meridian, Wildcats coach Randy Bolden said Monday afternoon.

Hood, a versatile 6-8 senior, is expected to pick from Florida State, Louisville and Mississippi State. He is No. 21 according to Rivals.com and No. 49 by Scout.com in the national rankings for the Class of 2011.</div>

I would be extremely disappointed. I mean yes I know we have been burned by past former players family, but if we can't land a guy from Meridian, whose parents both played ball at State, and actually went out and hired an assistant coach that has close ties to the Hood family then we're in trouble. But with all that said, I think we get him.
