Count me as anothe meh. There's already one at B&N, and Strangebrew is better anyway.

Here's the truth: I'll continue to buy Strangebrew given a choice between the two because I try my best to support A) local establishments, B) MSU businesses, but I think Starbucks is better.

The genius of Starkville amazes me. There will be 3 Starbuck's in a town of under 20k people, which would only make sense if MSU was known for its hipsters... And it's not. Not to mention the local coffee shop in downtown that students go to for the ambiance and the very popular Strangebrew. Chains have forever doomed Starkville. For 17s sake, at least make it a Dunkin' Donuts. That would make a little sense at least!

I have never understood the love for Starbucks

It taste like burnt coffee. Strange few IMO his head and shoulders better than starbucks

Starbucks has some crazy thing where they like to have 3-4 locations in every town they put one, regardless of population. This was discussed a few times in Meridian when I did camera for city council meetings and such.

I agree. Not interested. First the said OK to having open carry in their stores now they say no guys allowed. Flip-flop, flip-flop. Stay out of politics if you can't make your mind up and just make coffee.

Strangebrew sucks. The coffee is weak, and most times I’ve gone (usually driving through) the employees have been unfriendly at best and occasionally outright rude. I’m all for supporting local business over a chain as well, but not if the product AND the service are ****. Cute signs and everything, though.

That's never been my experience there, but I haven't been in a couple of years.
