I remember the long list.

I took that class in Spring ‘89 and got my BA that May.

The movies shown in class went through different eras… Buster Keaton’s The General was one. I’m thinking Double Indemnity was another as well as Michael Mann’s Manhunter… seeing how Hannibal was portrayed before Silence of the Lambs was released….

I returned to grad school at State a couple years later and got my masters in ‘93. I occasionally ran into Bob then but saw him more at Southern Miss afterwards.
He reconnected with a HS girlfriend who was a professor at Old Dominion and got a job there teaching film after he got his PhD. He'd already "retired" from MSU at that point. Then they moved to Seattle at some point and have been there since. I only see stuff from him on Facebook now.

Yep.

Bob’s a Facebook friend of mine too.

Throwing in another vote here for the shoeshine man. "SHOESHINE MAN COMIN'!". he used to come through the frat house soliciting *business*. IIRC, there were a few times when he played craps with some of the guys in the hall for quarters.

Here's another random guy- does anyone remember Robie Scucchi (sp?). He was an art professor of mine when I was briefly in the Arch program. He taught freshman drawing and absolutely sexually harassed every female student in the class. But, it was the late 90's, so everybody thought it was kind of funny.

Yet you are totally and absolutely obsessed with us. Don't try to deny it either. You are HERE.

FYI we ARE winners. We aren't Ole Miss. That is a massive win.
that was a really low bar making you feel like a winner. didn't work, you're still you.

One of my favorite quotes from a bartender at the Grill about Gerold "He's not narcoleptic, he's a drunk"
I worked at the grill back in the early 2000’s. Gerald would fall asleep sitting up at the bar and the bartender would always just take his Budweiser and stick it in the ice bin until he woke back up

Another one I think that passed away is Jacob. He would always ask a question on the coach's shows and I think he was a janitor of some sort in the union - at least that's where I remember him from. For some reason, I remember him giving out parking tickets too.

There was a guy around Starkville mid 2000’s, he drove a maroon PT cruiser that had banner M stickers ALL OVER IT. Usually wore a suit, hair was black as shoe polish and usually slicked back. He’d come up to you out in public and say something like “How bout them bulldogs, amen?” I can’t be the only person that remembers that guy.
Brother Mcneel.

We always called him Bulldogs amen brother.

Reverend Amen that drove around in the PT Cruiser and used to hangout at the old car wash that was torn down on hwy 12 and the guy that rides the bike wearing the helmet, sport coat and tie are not the same person. I know the name of the bike guy but he may want privacy. He worked at the University 20 years ago. Not sure now.

Im not sure what became of the reverend though.
He moved on but still comes to Vegas occasionally.
