Personally I like The Barking Dog as to me it just sounds like a good bar name, with good menu name spinoff potential and good T-shirts.

I know the leader in this poll is the Famous Maroon Bar, but honestly I just don't like it all that much.

everyone always jokes on our band, i dont understand why you would want to name a bar after it? i thought, at first, that it was an accident that it sounded like the band because i didnt think anyone would ever want to name a bar after our band.... name it something that has to do with our sports

Of course, it is a play on the "Famous Maroon Band." People can take it however they want. It is not a tribute to the band. I actually was being tongue in cheek about it.

has anything to do with the worst band in the history of college football sounds terrible to me...what kind of music are they gonna play at this bar? cartoon and nintendo songs would be my guess

I borrowed my moniker from restaurants that used to be in the Jackson area many moons ago . "Dog & Suds" of course referred to root beer and hot dogs. Not to much of a stretch to name a bar "Dawg & Suds" for the obvious beer and State connection.

Stan's Dawg House (or use any other variation of Stansbury's name)

I didn't read the other thread, so someone else might have thought of these.
