Does anyone have a star link mounted on their vehicle? If so which one and what are the pros and cons? I’ve got a ford with the wifi in it but it always seems very slow and sometimes doesn’t work and will have to unhook my phone from it to get something to pull up .

I don’t personally but I know several people who have it mounted on motorhomes. I think Starlink make one specifically for mobile use.
I work out of my truck in areas with not so great cell service and need WiFi for certain things and it’s also real nice to have WiFi when traveling hunting new areas with no service . I get that it’s not cheap but I feel like I’m wasting $20/month right now
I'm not in the rv camping community, but since they let them in parks where we tent camp, I've seen folks have a dish setup with their rv. It wasn't hard mounted to the rig though.
Which is only as good as the service provider it’s through . I have att through ford right now. It’s not great

Chevy/GMC wifi is through AT&T too, and yes it sucks. My kids can't watch netflix on the rear screens while playing roblox on their ipads while facetiming with their friends on trips without whining about it being 'laggy'... then I just maniacally laugh and laugh and they wonder why. Ah, good times.
About the only thing my sister and I had was "I spy", "license plate" and signaling truck drivers to blow their horn (when we weren't fighting over who was on who's side of the back seat). Father was in the Army and always lived a long way from relatives, spent many of those miles just starring out the window.
I was watching the Reed Timmer stream Saturday and they mentioned he was using starlink. They make a product specifically for use while commuting. If he's getting good data transfer during the weather conditions he's running in, I'd say that speaks well to it being reliable.

I remember when my dad used to rig up an antenna and small TV (8 inches?) in the van for the long drives to Colorado to go skiing. If we were lucky, we might get 30 minutes of blurry, black & white TV with maybe one or two channel choices as we neared a town in Texas before a couple of hours of nothing until the next town. And that was freaking high tech.
absolutely. If you have a place where there's no cell service or weak cell service starlink is a game changer.
if you can get great cell service just use a hotspot and save the extra monthly fee.
only issue would be if you have no line of sight to the sky.
I bought a new car last year that comes with 3 years unlimited, free WiFi. Then I added a Magic Box which you just hook up to a USB connection and I’m watching baseball, basketball, and Housewives of Atlanta all day long.
Absolutely, I don’t have a “country home” but live in an annexed neighborhood within Clinton city limits. Everyone has large yards and there’s really no chance of us getting fiber. We had fast access DSL. I got starlink last May and it’s a game changer.
My Stepdad deeded me 10 acres of land with a cell tower. It brings in a good little income every month. I figure before I die those things will be lie the dinosaurs.
