Lot's of history between the two schools. Lots of mutual respect. Looking forward to possibly seeing some old pals and to a good game. On paper West Montgomery wins this one. Not sure what Starmount has left in the tank this late in the season. Any info, predictions etc...... Good luck and safe travels from Booneville.

Looking at their scores comparing early season and later in the season, they must have had a lot of injuries and stuff pile up. Early in the season they almost beat East Surry, but got drubbed in their conference. Had to be a reason for the decline. Definitely can't take them lightly, that week off may have helped them.
Young team with only 5 seniors. Team going through growing pains by playing a lot of juniors and sophomores. Played well in the last regular season game at Alleghany. I expect West to win big. Too much talent this year for the Warriors.
The East Surry team that Starmount almost beat does not exist anymore that's the same team that got pounded by Surry Central in week 1 3/4 of the starters had never played much less started a varsity game this team has grown up a lot and is not the same team that was around the first half of the season

As for West Montgomery, Coach Eddins and staff are first class and I was treated really awesome 2 years ago. I even met the Superintendent Mr. Ellis. He was very friendly and hospitable.

As a Burns guy, I am getting quite familiar with Starmount and their conference in multiple sports. I recently changed jobs and live near the area. Nice places around here. How is starmount going to be this year in other sports?
Our soccer team advanced to 3rd Rd of playoffs and won conference. We are usually competitive in boys basketball and baseball. It runs in cycles in the small schools.
