False. There are other aspects to mattering than whether or not the sport generates revenue for the school. We can have personal pride in endeavors that other fan bases don't.
I don't agree that its the only sport that matters unless you are only considering revenue. Given our football history, if its the only sport that matters maybe we should just stick to academics. None of our sports have really met or exceeded expectations this year except women's soccer (not sure who cares) and maybe early returns on women's softball (for those that enjoy that sport). Only true bright spot is men's basketball beating OM twice even though we will still likely finish the SEC with a losing record while they will be a couple of games better with bigger wins than we have.
Basketball has a chance to show improvement still, but they have mucked it up in the last 2 weeks. Need to beat UPig tomorrow.
Baseball has a chance to right the ship, hopefully they will. To not be relevant FOR 3 YEARS after winning a title just baffles my mind. That should never happen
Football is in a huge hole that will take another year or 2 to get out of, just hope to see improvement. Very probable 3-9, 4-8 type season this year with that schedule, especially with injuries to key players.
