The Grill used to have once-a-week "themed" buffet nights back in '91 and '92 (freshman year). Country, Italian, Mexican, etc. . . . the Smith Hall bathrooms were truly battle tested later after our herd returned from these extravaganzas.
I don’t remember those theme nights. I lived in Smith 89-90. Freshman year.

Christy's was good until it moved. Then it just lived off the name.

I bet I saw a half dozen people slipping and falling on that greasy a$$ floor.
100%. When they tore down the old grease filled house and went to the metal building it went to ****.

How many six packers got to enjoy the brief but delicious run of Cotton District Deli? Gone too soon.

Also, RIP City Bagel.
The Cotton District Deli was awesome, the conversion to McCalisters doesn't compare.

Christy's Hamburgers was amazing. Also the Catfish One in front of the Fred's Dollar Store.
I always tell people about Christy’s. I remember my wife and I went one time and there was maybe a triple or just some huge burger and the person said you can’t eat that. My wife looked at me and I was like wtf? Give me that now. Knocked it out like it was my job

Anyone know when Cheers and their Wednesday night comedy hour went the way of the dodo bird? Graduated in 94 and emptied a lot of those $5 pitchers listening to a lot of comedians I can't remember 😂
