I agree CG and Chambers favorites it seems from Week 1. I think that match up would be competitive. CG defense will keep them in it and interesting. I think Rolesville versus either west team is close early and finishes ugly for the East. The regionals might be better than the final.
It would b a rematch from week 1. We was up 35-7 til we took the foot off the gas and CG showed resilience and made it competitive late in the 4th. I don't think we will do that this time.
I was there before the rain and if I recall, it was 21-0 chambers got a TD on a snap over CG QB head inside CG 15 and he kicked it into ENDzone trying to recover, chambers either scoop score or fell on it for TD. few plays later he threw it or it slipped into belly of a DL who was way out of the play again inside 20. It was crazy. All back to back I thought it was over them. Later got a text it was Chambers 35-CG 29 and CG had ball at 50 with 2 mins. I didn’t see the end, but again was told CG was inside Chambers 30 or 40 with a minute and a bunch of penalties killed them. That came from a friend from Charlotte who stayed late.

I have had CG coming out of the East all year but Rolesville can definitely win this game. This Rolesville team is putting up better offensive numbers than they did in their great run last year. The numbers they are putting up should not be overlooked. They aren’t blowing out chumps, they are blowing out quality teams on the road. Rolesville hung 56 on a very good Pinecrest team, 69 on an even better NB team. Then 53 on Millbrook who is a top 10 team in the East and finally 47 on one of the best defenses in the East. If this become a shoot out than the Rams can win.
Which teams in the west is Pinecrest beating? Millbrook? I love how yall talk about these teams..put them a few hundred miles west...who r they? Ardrey Kell? Porter ridge? Weddington? I'm curious
I live in WF, saw the championship run WF, the good Chambers and CG.. If CG were in the west they would finish where they are just behind the top two better than Weddington. Not the best but capable of beating the best. That cannot be said of anyone in the East. You have teams with great offenses but zero defense, teams with a good defense but zero offense. teams with talent but are in a permanent state of flux. So if you’re in the east and you are a dynamite talent you’re putting up video game like numbers. And the proof is in the fact that these superstars never shine when they play a team from the west or Cardinal Gibbons. Gibbons is well balanced, like I said top three - five in the state, But no one in the east outside of Gibbons and maybe Richmond County would finish in the top 10. They don’t have the combination of offensive and defensive efficiency. Go watch Millbrook Play Rolesville on NFHS and ask yourself are you watching good football or two really bad defenses. It was a joke
I have always given credit where credit is due. The Charlotte area has dominated 4A football since Indy started their run. WF had a great 3 year run but even during that time the top 10 Charlotte teams were much better than the top 10 Raleigh teams or any any team in the East. With that being said, we still play the games in the East. These kids still have the chance to win. No one thought WF would win their 1st championship because they had been there before and couldn’t get it done. No one thought New Bern would beat Indy in 07. Rolesvile got hammered last year but Brown was hurt, he couldn’t run effectively. I am not say they would have won but it would have been much closer. They are even better on offense this year and Brown is healthy. If CG can contain Rolesville offense than they are a legit condenser in the championship game. If Rolesville drops 50 on CG then they are a legit threat too. I do not think the West has unbeatable teams this year. If they do not bring their A game they can get beat.
If Rolesville can't find a defense pretty quick, it's going to come back to bite em pretty soon. A higher level begins this week. Like they say..offense gives you the highlight reels, but defense wins championships.
Ask Kansas city about not having a defense. Sucks to always have to out track meet everybody.
Guys, year in and year out I agree with you. KC did win a championship out scoring people. It didn’t work for them last season but any 1 year it can happen. CG may have a good enough defense to slow down this train and if they do they win because Rolesville defense is average at best. If you take Chambers, Hough, MP, Weddington and have them play Pinecrest, New Bern, Millbrook, and LR, do they average 56 ppg? I have seen a lot of playoff football over the years and this scoring output is impressive and you do not see it often. This offense is rolling and it will be fun to see if they can do it 2 more games.
