Just doesn't seem like a place that's going to keep a business open for any amount of time. Wish Does was still there.

Actually the Ruston location is not bad at all, but let's go

ahead and condemn someone willing to open a business in Starkville cause they ain't local. If Blue Light Cafe or Dowling's BBQ decides to open Starkville locations, you'd be wise not to turn them down either.

Why wont someone open a micro brewery there?

The answer for what's the problem with that location is the same as it's always been. It costs an un17inggodly amount of money to buy it outright and it needs MAJOR WORK done to it. Good luck trying to pay rent either. The rumor I heard is that you could build 3 Verandas for the price of that place and that's before you have to spend millions to rebuild that decrepid huge old building. Nothing will succeed there until someone is willing to drop $10 million to buy it and fix it. Whose got $10 million just chillen?

Well i live 6 hours away and have never owned a restaurant. It would be a gold mine in a college town

It wouldn't work for one of the reasons Does did not work, college kids are, in general, broke. I don't know about you but while I was at State Bud Light was as expensive as I ever got.

Now does is not a great example because I was never too impressed with the Starkville location. However, that does not change the fact that it was too expensive for college kids.

Very true. And the ones that can support it, don't want bar food. There is not a single item on that menu that I wouldn't prefer to get somewhere else.
