You've got to wonder
If Ole Miss had not played Texas and played someone like Memphis, they might be the ones going to either the Gator Bowl or the Music City Bowl instead of us. Not sure how it would all shake out with two 8 win teams and a 7 win team- but only winning 6 settles that.
Of course I've heard Slive was pretty pissed about Bjork allowing their students to run on the field and then admitting that he knowingly broke the rules so that they could run around on the field. In fact - he was pushing for Ole Miss to go to the Music City bowl and MSU to the Birmingham Bowl with Vandy going to the Gator until he found out about it. I didn't think the Snow Bowl tribute could be topped as far as dumb athletic director moves, but Bjork managed to pull it off. I guess I have to send him a Christmas card for the NYD bowl game now though.
