I'm expecting a borderline #1/#2 seed in a regional and a good chance at a super regional. I hope his predictions are better than his polls are.

at Omaha. Our biggest problem last year was injuries. We still won 16 games and the SEC Tournament despite that. I think Cohen will be on a mission to improve the offense in the offseason, and we should be better there- again, health will be a big part of that.

If we had stayed healthy, I think we would have won at least 18 games easily and probably upwards of 20. The teams that beat us last year as far as series- LSU on the road went to a SR and got upset by Stony Brook, Arkansas went to Omaha, South Carolina went to Omaha, Florida went to Omaha, and Auburn beat us at Auburn.

We also would have at least split with SELU on the road if we had stayed healthy. They got us at the right time for sure.

Like others have said, the key is hosting a regional. If we do that, we have a good shot at going to Omaha. Of course, ideally we would be a national seed and then it's all about taking care of business.

My goal is that we win 20 SEC games next year and host and possibly get a national seed. 20 wins might be enough for us to win the league as well.

Will be high expectations for next year.... for the first time under Cohen.

This is an entirely new dynamic for our team, and it should be interesting to see how we respond to it. Playing as a favorite is a lot different than playing as an underdog with your back against a wall...

At the plate, the Bulldogs welcome back their top 11 hitters from last year's club, including athletic shortstop Adam Frazier and outstanding athlete and outfielder Hunter Renfroe. This club should be vastly improved offensively next season.

....Stratton was the guy on Friday night and we were not going to lose very often with him out there. We need Graveman to take that role. I don't think you can realistically host a regional without a solid Friday night guy. Outside of those two, our major contributions came from Ross Mitchell and Holder (and Lindgren to a lesser extent). They came in and got some big things done in some big spots, but is Lindgren going to step up and be ready for an SEC weekend spot?

I agree that Cohen will not let that offense be that bad next year. The key is going to be the development of the pitching staff to somehow try and make up for losing Stratton.

You dont want a nitpicking sinkerballer as your Friday guy. Woody has dominating stuff and should do nothing but improve. Lindgren has top stuff as well. By going Woodruff/Lindgren/Graveman it would also give us a R/L/R rotation

I hope it's Woodruff on Friday, Lindgren on Sat., and then Graveman on Sunday. If not Woodruff, I hope Evan Mitchell makes some big strides in the Cape this summer and then in the offseason.

the guy with sick stuff but you have no idea what you are going to get from him. We always have that one guy that we wait and wait to become consistent and more often than not they don't. If he can put it all together and the other guys keep the pace they are on, we will be looking pretty good.

We're not reliant on that person anymore. Evan Mitchell has every bit as good of stuff right now as Chris Stratton had at the end of his soph season. Whether he can develop the 3rd pitch and the mental toughness is yet to be seen...

I think Graveman will be a good weekend starter for us. But if he's not, we've got plenty of other options. Our pitching staff next year is going to be sick good and one of the deepest I've ever seen. Certainly the deepest I've ever seen at MSU.
