Agree. We are winning folks. And I suspect you'll see a completely different defense next week. TENN will have 5 weeks of video and we will change it up. Just a suspicion
Our defense is fine, But I would have like to see us come out and dominate one of these weak opponents and put our foot on their throat. I don't think our offense is going to be good enough to move the ball against the better SEC defenses, so we need our D to be really good, not just good. I know they probably aren't exactly up for this game, but we're five games into the season and the only game we've really seen anything is against an auburn team that is looking worse and worse.
Not to mention all of their drops. Just saw another one....
Tyler Bray will throw for 300 against us, unless there is truth to us "playing vanilla".....i agree with you almost all the time coach, but it seems Wilson just doesnt have the sack to blitz on 3rd down......maybe we don't have to?....what makes me think we are not, is when Chris Wilson said after Troy game how humbling it was to see them pass all over us....that worries me....
i will tell you this, if Alabama if favored by 21 or less against us, you can take that as the lock of the century.....their OL vs our defense and soft "bend don't break" coverage is going to kill us.....
my biggest beef so far this year is our offense.....its so f'ing predictable....yes, we are 5-0, but they have looked shitastick against lesser competition.....the last 6 weeks of the season are going to be very tough....
my 2 cents.....hopefully we are just vanilla, and i will eat crow....

Next week is the first true test for our D. They won't get a backup/true freshman QB. They'll have to play their best game all year for us to have a chance against UT.
Need more Prescott. I think we let him throw it some next week as well when they sell out to stop him in the run.
