The newest letter sent out to the rowdies group
*edit* I'm pretty certain the person in the "athletic department" was Jay Logan...so who knows if its true or if he is on a power trip as usual.
Whats funny about this is that every game Ole Miss play in this well be mentioned over and over as it was last night. So its taboo for fans but fine for the talking heads?

I received a call from someone in the Athletic Department today regarding Saturday's game against Ole Miss. They have been contacted by the SEC, and the conference would like for the fans (the Rowdies and everyone else) to not publicly defame Coach Kennedy or his wife in any way. They said that this was due to our game being televised and they don't want to put either school, coaching staff, team, student body, alumni, or the conference in a bad light. The conference has also contacted every other SEC school that Ole Miss has played so far and told them the same.

The people in the Athl. Dept. also feel the same way and don't want the fans to bring a negative image towards our school. So I was told to pass along that any and all posters/signs that are negative/personally attacking Andy Kennedy and his wife in any way will be promptly taken up, and the person that has them in their possession will be escorted out by campus police. They also said that any loud comments and remarks will not be tolerated either, and that those people would also be escorted out.

They will be checking the signs at the gates, and that will supposedly serve as a warning; but once inside, and you get caught, you will have the police coming to make you leave the game.

Again, this is the Athl. Dept. and the SEC, and this message is not just for the Rowdies, but all of the fans that are coming to the game.

Excuse the pun, but AK made his bed and he will suffer for the rest of his career for this one, not just this Saturday. And there is nothing MSU or the SEC can do about it. Taking up posters will make it worse. I love how the SEC wants us to play nice. No way in hell ... not this Saturday.

Ya know what? That's not Constitutional.

And what is derogatory? Andy...you suck. Oh, go get the police.

Go to Hell Ole Miss! Look out! Here comes the fuzz!

The thing is this- even if your coach doesn't clock a cabbie and have his wife embarass him, I would wager that fans say "derogatory" things towards ALL coaches EVERY FREAKING game. If you're a coach and you want to minimize fans yelling at you, don't do something stupid like punch a guy and yell racist remarks at him or hit on college girls to the point that your wife embarasses your *** in public. AK DID THIS TO HIMSELF!

If Stans had done the same thing and Meo came out and said that she wasn't getting any, I guarantee you that the Tad Pad would have been all over it. And rightfully so. And you know what? As a State fan, my thought would be the same- you don't want to hear about it, don't do it.

And here's what really PISSES ME OFF. Does anyone else here think that ANY other school in the SEC, much less the country send out an e-mail like this? HELL NO! Heck, LSU has the worst group of toolshed fans I have ever seen (did not go to West <17'n> Virginia football game) and yet it's somehow it's OK for their fans to throw objects, vomit, pee, feces, you name it. We make some harmless signs (in all likelihood) and are asked to "take the high road"? WTF? No heckling at a sporting event? Hell, that's just un-American, unless it's church league.

Oh, and let's not forget the time that some Ole Miss fan THREW a water bottle at Derrick Zimmerman after a game. AND one of their RADIO ANNOUNCERS called one of MSU's players a thug ON THE AIR. I bet the Ole Miss police weren't called in on Touhy. And yet, we are more concerned about "what other people think". I'll tell you what other people think- that we're a bunch of <17> pushovers, mainly becuase of BS like this.

I seriously doubt there was any "letter". Our folks don't want it to get out of hand, so they created this "letter" so the students could be pissed at the SEC instead of at MSU.

I'm not the type to bring a sign to a game anyway, but if you ARE that type of person, and this stops you, then you are a huge ******. This ******** should only serve to fan the flames and make the students act more ridiculous. I've been lookin forward to this night for a while and the fans better not be a bunch of douchebags and puss out. This is so freaking high school.

our rivals coach punches a cabbie in the face and has his wife publicly say his dick doesn't work and you expect us to say nothing. Go #!+! yourself.

you're wrong. They can regulate what signs and other items come into the sports arena. Assuming all this is true, which I doubt, it sounds like they are targeting vulgarity.

Explanation for anyone that's interested: your ticket is a license to attend which can be revoked at any time for almost any reason. It has nothing to do with the Constitution or your free speech rights.

I'd just use slogans that could be interpreted more than one way. I don't know something like:

I'm Andy, my wife calls me the Dribbler.

This has a Khayat smell to it.

He's leaving and is throwing his weight around one more time. AK47 is one of his coaches and no one is allowed to speak ill of Ole Miss and their leadership.

Andy Kennedy has already put Ole Miss & the SEC in a bad light.

So it begs the question: Why haven't these secret letter writers written a letter to Andy Kennedy & Ole Miss demanding Kennedy's shamed *** resign?

What is Andy Kennedy, anyway? A freakin' 9 year old special needs kid?

I realize we live in a day & age when even macho coaches try to play the victim in order to get out of taking repsonsibility for their actions, but this is ridiculous.

If Andy Kennedy doesn't want to get heckled in Starkville, he should quite fighting foreign cab drivers & buy some Viagra. Otherwise, it's on.

I'll be in the student section. I have been waiting for this game all year and this dumb +*$!%%@ letter just makes everything worse for AK. What a *****.

I'll a little more respectful now that I have heard this. And by respectful I mean drinking much more whiskey before the game, bringing an even nastier sign, yelling #+@* and #+@* AK every chance I get, mixing one more whiskey drink in the middle of the game, getting the attention of the camera's and making sure they see my sign, and making a huge scene once I get kicked out.

So yeah i'll be more respectful. Count on it!

Edited to say: About as respectful as my signature

too much ********.

The SEC constantly keeps MSU down.(really)]

how is this different than the KA's wishing him a happy homecoming?

If it takes me being taken out of that hump in handcuffs, so be it.
