with much more time to recruit Pope currently has the 90th ranked recruiting class with Kentucky BASKETBALL.
with much less time Stein currently has the 7th ranked recruiting class with Kentucky FOOTBALL.

Putting the Pope pumpers aside who hate on anybody who points out the issues, I hope to those remaining rational people, you can clearly see there is a major issue here with Pope and I'm not sure it can be fixed.

He is a young up and comer I'm not saying Mitch should have looked for younger up and comer options on the basketball end but, no sense in beating a dead horse. We probably won't end up at 90. More people to enter portal and basketball players less of and more money to shop around sadly. It really matters about your end product.

Lots of people when it comes to recruiting are not patient. Some teams had to make a late push last year and did well. If you don't get your first options you have to make sure you are getting good 2nd options and don't settle just because.

We sit n see where they finish lol we have 10 3 stars and an over rated 4 star QB in one recruiting service who was being recruited by iowa . Not exactly a grand slam


I guess any 4 star QB is better than nothing though. The kid from Cincinnati is a better prospect

I'm talking about high school recruiting, not the portal. Currently, despite Pope offering and getting a visit from almost every top 20 player they are ranked 90th in high school recruiting, and Stein who had far less time is already 7th.

First team he had to recruit transfers. Second team we had to wait on people coming back. I think it has hurt with recruiting freshmen. Most teams been winning from getting things out of portal

Ky Is known for great BB, so you would think Ky BB players would be easier to recruit top players than FB.

We won’t end at 90 but it’s more likely because of quantity of players and not quality.
