They have no QB and lack overall size and speed. His starting QB is a walk on from Wellesley High. Wellesley.

I can't get my head around why he hasn't been able to pull talent in. He is an above average Xs and Os guy.

It is extremely difficult to get into BC. May have something to do with it. Maybe he doesn't k ow how to find smart good players.

For a minute, I thought you were talking about Rutgers and Flood, except for the X's and O's.

I know their standards on hockey are not the same as the rest of the school, not sure on football. My kid sat next to johnny hockey in a class....he was there for one reason and one reason only.

In other words it is really because their HC sucks. Not that it matter to hell with UBC.

It is much easier to allow/bring in 3 rock heads in hockey and carry them acedemically as opposed to 25 for FB, only a yearly basis.

It is never a good idea to measure your progress against the suckiness of your peers. It's a recipe for mediocrity at best, and atrocity at worst.

Yeah, make excuses for Adazzio because you wanted him at RU but the fact is that Coughlin and O'Brien had plenty of success at BC.

johnny hockey comes from a New England Prep or a Catholic powerhouse 95% of the time…completely prepared for college studies.

BCU is worse than Rutgers. I saw that team play. Paint drying is more interesting.

And BCU isn't Stanford. They are in the same pool as most every other school.

Us and BC would be a barn burner.
Unlike you, I think they'd take us in the end because of a fumbled snap or a 15 yard punt.

They have the one offense even our D could stop. And while their D is good, we would put up a few field goals.

I would love to see their stats. From what I saw, they have the worst offense I have ever seen in a college football. Even worse than ours, if that is possible.

Yup. Not too many public school hockey powerhouses. The better New Jersey high school programs have names like Delbarton, CBA, Lawrenceville Prep, Don Bosco, Princeton Day, Seton Hall Prep, Bergen Catholic etc. These kids are prepared for college. Think of the football players we get from the NJ preps. They do fine in the classroom.

Which, if any, of the old Big East football schools is doing well now? What's the prognosis? With the exception of Temple, we're all struggling. (Ironic, huh?)

i'm sure it must be QB issues cause as far as i can see they've had decent recruiting classes under Addazio/Brown...be ''a dude'' is their mantra...Dazzy is ultra conservative in his style...sorta like us with Carroo not in.

All I can say, is we dodged a bullet when he turned down the potential offer from Pernetti. Man, that would have been a mistake.
Though he is a decent recruiter and almost suits our style but won't push the ball downfield enough for us...we need/like the pass big play more than his style dictates...even Hilliman seems quiet there this yr.

Yeah, he was there for one reason but that doesn't mean he didn't have the academics for BC

Fixed it for you. I watched too much Temple FB under this clown to believe that. His own players couldn't stand him at Temple, mostly because even they realized he was inept.

Before Addazio got to BC, BC win loss record in 2011 was 4-8, 2012 they went 2-10 then Addazio arrived and they went 7-6 in 2013, 7-6 in 2014.

BC recruiting was bad in 2013 but only had 15 recruits ranked 88 when Rutgers was ranked 45. In 2014, BC recruiting got better and was ranked 42th while Rutgers was 57th. IN 2015 BC was 47th while Rutgers was 53th.

I think he 's better than Flood. The Temple players that are currently playing are mostly junior and seniors recruited by Addazio.

Yup. I was gonna say we made out better than any of them as far as conferences go, but it's critical that RU not squander this opportunity. Scared money doesn't make any money.

Addazio may have started out with a bang, as new coaches often do, but it doesn't take people too long to figure out the emperor has no clothes. After he left Temple, there was a groundswell of support from within the program for Rhule, who had been their recruiting coordinator under Addazio, and was the one with whom the players had built the relationship with prior to enrolling.

A side note, Temple is playing as many underclassmen, if not more, than juniors and seniors. They lose a couple big seniors this year, but there is a lot of talent being redshirted or brought alone very slowly, including two four-star kids who are redshirting. They will have more aggregate talent in the field next year than this one. Had they gone right from Golden to Rhule, they'd probably be a year or two ahead of their current progress. There was much celebrating when Addazio left.
